Bitchin little pool, love the coping! I grew up in the same neighborhood as Jay , 5 years younger but I use to skate the same pools and ramps he did. Me and some friends built a Bitchin ramp in the university high school parking lot and some of the original Dogtown guys showed up. They owned a skate shop on Santa Monica Blvd a couple blocks away and must of heard of the roughly 15 foot ramp some locals built at the high school. Good memories...

🤣this is the kind of thing we did when we were like 10 and thought we were good. And then looking at the way skateboarding is today, it was really not good at all.

I've gotten so sick of hearing all the bullshit about this guy my whole life. I've actually been a better skateboarder than Jay Adams since the late 1970s just because I can 50/50 grind and do a frontside or backside air and there's NEVER been any shortage of us who can, it's just we weren't one of the cool kids on the Zephyr Team in California, we lived on the East Coast. FACT: The reason Jay Adams never really made it big was because this was all he could do besides competing in the Del Mar freestyle competion on a Penny board. Never once stuck an air. He couldn't. Every time he tried, he would bail out and everyone else was doing nothing but airs after Tony Alva landed that Frontside on the cover of Skateboarder Magazine but never Jay Adams but for strange reason, Stacey Peralta has always worshiped Jay, so he always goes on and on about how talented he was. I never saw it. I always knew Stacey, T.A. and hundreds of us were better skaters with better "style" than Jay, any day of the week and that never changed. It is what it is. 🤨

Yo kids this is what people use to do before smart phones and social media. I feel sorry for the younger generations.
