I have tons of respect for Dr Latasha and Sir Mark for their emotional intelligence and class. They genuinely are good to South Africans and view us and our issues with grace and empathy. You never get the condescension undertones and covert arrogance toward South Africans. They don't present themselves as our saviours or some superiority. They just appreciate South Africans and the country and are here to build with a mutual respect and Ubuntu. I have never heard these guys insult us especially black South Africans. It is beautiful to watch.
That’s sweet but South Africans don’t stand for BS anyway so these Americans shouldn’t try it, and you are very vocal😂You guys are so vocal about the love you have for your country, you have this Brit also falling in love with your country
Well said soso..Is nice when they hear from one of their own,, Bother Mark & his wife they are doing excellent job we really appreciate them so much 🍃 they're truly a blessing we love them so much 💖
I’m posing a question to my SA brothers and sisters. My daughter recently visited Joburg with one of her friends. She complained that she didn’t have a great time because there was constant colorism against her dark skinned friend compared to her. (My daughter is light skinned) She said that many South Africans only wanted to have babies by whites 😳. She was treated better than her girlfriend, where ever they traveled in Joburg. I didn’t have this experience; however, I am a man. What are your thoughts???
@@beverns hi Bevern, colourism is an issue in black communities in general. In SA, we don't like to talk about it much but it exists here also. If you're light skinned you do get better treatment. It's always been like that, not so much from white people more so from black people, people who've never experienced it or just think it's not a big deal are quick to accuse victims of being too sensitive or that they're imagining things. But it's there and you'll feel it, all over the country and most of the continent. Sadly that's one thing we can't really pin on white people because we do it to ourselves.
OMG...thanks for this video. I'm originally from the Virgin Islands but I plan to move to Durban one day and I'm beyond excited about it. I saw a short video a few years ago and been in love ever since.
Thank you Jay for showing our country and continent in good light. We appreciate you very much brother!!!! Please come back to South Africa and bring our brothers and sisters back home.
Please stop depending on these White Supremacists to show us anything positive about the Motherland! Get out and make your own discovery! You sound stuck!😃

Mark has picked up the friendliness of South Africans. Hence, he can bumped into a new person and start talking as if is a long time friend to complete stranger.

Hi Jay i just subscribed to your channel and watching this video of South Africa is really amazing. This video has got me thinking of visiting South Africa.
Wait, hey you two, do you have ID on you and where are you going, why because we got a call of two men walking because they are curious, so they will say these two men fix the description of a crime, they say it only to get up close and personal to be nosy, that would be the American cops, it's good seeing our black men in Africa among a whole street of black people, love it. Keep up the great work Jay.Lol

I love South Africa! My visit changed my life. I would love to move there, but I would have to do my research because we have a special needs daughter.
Do enough research and come visit first. It's more like buying a house, you have to get the feel of the place. SA is really a great country, the people are some of the best people you'll ever meet. Honestly.
Greetings! My hubby and I live in Goodyear AZ and have been considering where to relocate to in Africa that will make the transition less stressful. where you are in this video, Durban looks and feels like Goodyears twin city. I think we found our place!
I just got a tour in my own country and city! How are you doing brothers? It's good to see and have you here.I wish more of our African American brothers and sisters would come down to check what we are all about. It's like we traded places...i'm up here in the states and the two of you are down there in my country,it's all good! Much love.

I saw the Shell gas station in the background. I just did the conversion for the gas prices and its $1.25 per gallon. 😮That gives me an idea of cost of living. Thanks for this video
Mark and Latasha have a channel, email address etc dedicated to answering all your questions. Contact them, their channel here on RU-vid is The Real South Africa.
