Fun fact: When the hawks moved from the old Chicago Stadium to the United Center it took them nearly 2 years to tweak the organ sound to match the old one at the old barn.

It would fit, another lie. It was insurance, it was the new organ would be better and bigger. 3 times they lied about moving the Largest Pipe Organ

You got that right and the sound is half of what the Barton was you had to hear both to know. Some of us are still alive so stop the lies.

Isn't the largest pipe organ the Atlantic City Convention Hall Organ? The Barton organ may have been the largest Theater organ, but I recall reading that the Sanflippo Wulitzer was the largest...

For a positive comment, I like Frank as a person. He has his Chicago accent (not neutral and dull, like many in his line of work), he doesn't dress up in a suit and tie (those are the worst), and he doesn't like baseball (I don't either, who knew). Baseball's too slow for me too. What's the purpose of the headset?

I believe the organ was played at a Bulls game today for the first time.

I sure hope not. I remember, it was used sporadically (on/off) in the 90s, when the Bulls were THE TEAM. I recall the beginning of DJs as well back then. I heard pop/rock tunes during breaks (quarters), pre, and post game. I have not watched any NBA stuff since then.

Anyone know what the name of the song is at @ 2:30? We just hear a bit and then the chords. Marks the end of the period I believe.

Rob W It's "Here Come the Hawks". There are a couple organ renditions of it on RU-vid, if you're interested.

Nothing about a pack of lies about the old organ. It's definitely not a pipe organ.

The organ they have now is just an Allen with custom decoration. You can go anywhere, and listen to an Allen, but you could only go to one place to hear the Barton from Chicago Stadium. The old Barton pipe organ in the "barn" was truly an experience to behold.

Sorry not even close to the great pipe organ at the Chicago Stadium.
