He’s actually not that famous. In the comedy world he’s in like the top 5 but does your mom and dad know who he is? Mine wouldn’t have a clue but they know Jay, Jay is a house hold name. Bill could go out in most cities and he’d be totally unrecognized but Jay couldn’t do that. A house hold name is what happens when you transcend the particular thing you are famous for, like Leno is not known as a comedian he’s known as the tonight show guy.
@@forgivemylaughter Well, Jay had a nationally syndicated show for decades... Compared to him even Chapelle or Louis C K have little name recognition. Bill is as famous as a comedian can be who doesn't have his own show or regularly stars in movies. Any comedian that hosts SNL and the Grammys in the same year has made it big.
@@sanghoonlee5171 I’d still say that “house hold” name is a bit of a stretch. Chris Rock Jim Carey Joe Rogan Dave Chapelle Kevin Hart Are more house hold names but yeah comedians in general don’t get there unless they do movies and tv ect if they just do stand up they gotta do like stadiums to be at that level but even then that’s not true as lots of stand ups so stadiums but no one knows them they just got huge demographics, like Fluffy.
@@forgivemylaughter Every one on your list had regular appearances on TV or films. I think it's amazing that Bill came this far with very little of that. Fundamentally, I agree with you. But Bill will get there. I hope some filmmakers or TV shows give him a major role soon because his acting skill is excellent.
@@toocool5355 so both conan and jay were from boston, but somehow it did not work.. conan with bill burr is always gold though... as with conan and denis leary (his cousin) or conan with pete holmes... those are boston guys
What the fook does that mean? Do they not get along Conan and Leno, and should Bill chose sides like a child? I guess that went over my head.......fortunately.
@@Eventual-Visitor NBC had Conan under contract to take over the Tonight Show and Jay threw a fit so they cancelled Conan's contract and fired him to keep Jay. Total scum bag move.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Leno on several occasions through my previous job and he was always great to me. I'll even go as far as to say that out of all the celebrities I've met (and they are many), Jay Leno was the nicest and most down to earth. He just does not care who you are.
I don't know why but once Bill said "alright I got the goggles" I just burst out laughing 😆 I know he is just pointing out what is happening but like I didn't expect that lol
"Ypu know, you're slowing us down with that full head of hair" ...........awesome .. only a true comedian can say something spontaneously, fitting of the moment that would make most people laugh like this.
@@malikashurov1139 Did he talk F1 here? I missed it completely. Does he talk about the new F1 season on his podcasts? And most of us hate that Mercs always wins, hopefully this season is gonna be different but I somehow doubt it.
I like how much Bill clearly respects Jay. Sometimes Bill comes off a little stand offish in interviews but with Jay you can tell he has full respect him. Great video 👍
What a great video. Clearly, Jay and Bill really have a great connection. I just finished watching the full Mandalorian series and Bill was fantastic. The AMG for Every day, and the killer 1914 Merc Roadster for a weekend at a cars and coffee. Awesome .
@@TheMijman Awww man. That's how it goes sometimes. I definitely don't hold it against him. I thought you were going to tell me something crazy I didn't know about. 😭 Have a beautiful night.
I live in Burbank and I’m lucky enough to see Jay driving one of his cars every so often. When I hear a steam whistle in the neighborhood (think train whistle) I know Jay is driving his steam car. 👍
@@lucacastagnaltpainting3616 I can appreciate Jay Leno as a host and as an entertainer but Jay's definitely not a good guy lol The late night war was nothing but Jay Leno stabbing Conan in the back for his own good.
the old s63 s65 cars had NA V12's ,the roadsters and limo types.. maybe it was 6.3L or 6.5L v12's, so it would be weird if mercedes named it 63 but with a v8... i know they are moving into the direction of twin turbo v8 for emission standards and their v12's are mostly relegated to the pagani huayras now
See all we need to do is get the late night Jimmies off of the air, bring back Leno and a few of the classics. Then add some Bill Burr and get rid of the woke crap and we have a ballgame.
Burr looks like freakin Charlie Brown in that car with Leno...lol and the freakin tree huggers in LA must love that car....surprised they didn’t have green peace pull em over
