Nobody watches late night television shows anymore. Viewers are fed up with them knowing that this country is still in the toilet or swamp in the morning. Biden doesn't even have to be asleep or awake and this country still manages to self destruct.
8:23 this is not a Swastika. I've seen this a LOT especially on US TV. Swastika (as used by the Germans in WW2) has arms the other way around : pointing clockwise round.
Yeah the poster made the mistake of putting the post date in the video title. I assumed the date in the title was when it was posted because Jay Leno ended in February of 2014

Yeah and a car means ford. Swastika is symbol of prosperity used across Europe and Asia, and probably anywhere else cos it’s simply geometrical figure.
The other account has been cancelled by them yesterday and everything from there is lost. I have created this one instead. Yes, I am able to post of course, but seems a bit pointless to waste time since it is very much a guessing game on what is allowed and what is not. I think I will, for now, concentrate on posting shorter ones like headlines and other interesting things until we can figure out what exactly makes one episode different from another.
The translations are usually spot on. When the joke it that there's a typo, the translator usually has to get a little creative. In this clip, the "testes of Greece" joke was translated as "köttballar", basically "meat dicks", a pun on "köttbullar", meaning "meat balls".
Some other translation notes: The joke at 0:24 was simply translated literally, as I don't think there was any way the "housekeepers/housepeekers" typo could have been preserved in translation, which I guess would have left viewers who don't speak English confused as to why the ad would be asking for a housepeeker. In contrast, the joke at 0:36 left the word "protectant" untranslated (notice how it's written in _italics_ in the subtitles). I guess the translator assumed that most viewers know enough English to know what that word means. The jokes at 2:06 and 3:24 simply applied similar typos to the Swedish translation as to what the original had. The joke at 2:30 omitted everything between "Brazilian soccer player" and ", or by...", I assume for brevity. At 3:34, the translator had Jay mention that Tom DeLay is a politician, since I assume most Swedish viewers didn't know who he was. At 4:26, the subtitles have Jay say that (roughly translated) "The mens' laugh fell flat", since what he actually said would be difficult to subtitle as-is. At 8:42, the subtitles say that "it looks like they're squeezing her".
@@TeachMeBertREALLY appreciated and enjoyed reading your explanatory comments-I’m not multilingual, but I read tons of materials all dealing with how various things-like video games-are handled in translation and localization. It’s fascinating how a joke or pun or other line that only makes sense in one language can be just as good, or even better, in the hands of a good translator who knows how to make an “equivalent” line. So explanations like yours fascinate me no end. Thank you!!

IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN HOMELESS you should know the rescue mission is not meant to be long term place to live so they make rules so that only the most desperate will stay there the idea is for you to move on get your own place to live the food is barley edible the beds are not comfortable and you can't sleep past 6:30 am your on the street unless bad weather the mission i stayed in the staff were like prison guards mean mother fuckers no kidding!!!! don't stay in the mission if you don't have to
