The worst thing they ever did was replace Leno. He was number one in the ratings and if he was still working today, he would still be number one in the ratings. I don’t watch Fallon at all.
I think the idea of Jay leaving and being replaced by Conan O Brian was a great idea, rhe problem was that they gave Jay Leno his own show which came on BEFORE the Tonight Show, so it wasn't like Jay left. That in itself hindered any chance for Conan to succeed. It made more sense for Conan to succeed Jay than Jimmy Fallon honestly. But NBC botched it.
Same Fallon tries hard bless his soul but he can't fill Lenos shoes should of just started something new like new format it's just boring how he does it
I saw Leno in Vegas do a two hour standup show. He had me laughing so hard my stomach muscles hurt. Jay's a great showman and all his humor in family rated, nothing risqué or vulgar.
I think that the very last contestant, who entered the stage last, with the white hair and who was standing next to the kid, at the right, should have been nominated, as the real number#1.

He did a two hour standup at a 300 person Jewish event many years ago. We all thought he was gonna suck because we're pretty tough comedy critics, but he knocked it out of the park. The annual event never had anybody as funny since then.
It's literally why Carson and Leno were so important I think. Because a lot of us would fall asleep and that last part of our day we needed a lift for 10 or 20 minutes we could laugh and a little smile turn the TV off and go to sleep. And all the shit was over. Wake up the next day and hopefully not as much shit happened. That's why the good late night comedians are so missed nowadays. I kind of like Stephen Colbert he's about the one I choose most at 11:30 at night. If I'm still awake since I'm so old. LOL
I Was on vacation at Ocean city Md. up on the 12th floor. The room mini fridge kept making a strange noise and was not cooling. so I called the front desk and they said they would send a guy up to replace it. The guy they sent looked just like Leno with coveralls on LOL 😃😃. I kept thinking am on TV I kept looking around for a camera.
one time I seen a dude at the gas station that looked exactly like my brother. I knew it wasn't my bother but I had to keep starting. dude caught me like 3 times looking at him.
He has been a guest on Top Gear (UK) where he came across very well - a decent chap and the way he shows and shares his car collection without it being a 'look at me, look how rich I am' show, says a lot about the man.
@@itzamia I've NEVER watched Fallons show. I should say full show. I tried, but didn't feel it. Saw a bunch of highlights in which I never thought any late night now are funny. Dave Chapelle would be hilarious if they'd give him one of the spots.
Perhaps you've never heard of Craig Ferguson.... you should try him out....I like Jay and others but I've never laughed as hard as I've laughed at Craig.... he was absolutely hilarious....
now this is how to do a late night show. we know this man is a lefty but u would never know it from his shows because he is a professional and not an emotionally disturbed person.

Leno set the Indian guy up but he missed it: "You're from India, do they get our show over there?" "No... I mean, it's on the TV there, but nobody gets it."

This is a great example of how modern Tonight Show's suck. Besides Carson, Leno was my favorite Tonight Show host. None of those people could be Jay Leno, they ain't driving classic cars or have a fire scared face...
