Finally!!! 3 Doors Down is one of the best bands that alot of people haven't heard of! This is one of the best videos EVER! I think y'all would love Kryptonite and Not My Time. The video for Not My Time is literally like a mini movie.

Being the mother of a Marine Combat Vet, this song hits home hard! My son has lost more brothers to the mental state after they get out than he did while in Afghanistan or Iraq. It really is so very sad what these guys and gals go through and what they have to deal with! Prayers for all who serve and have served this country.

Thank your Son for his service! I grew up in a military family, and my dad and all 3 brothers served in the military and all of them did tours in Vietnam -- two of my brothers were in Vietnam at the same time. I also have cousins (both men and women) who were all deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. So I get it. I'm just glad they all came home alive. 💜

This video always hits me hard because years ago during Desert Storm my brother was on the Aircraft carrier USS America stationed in the Persian Gulf. I hated not knowing when or if i would ever see him again. I was in the Air Force at that time, but my job was Computer weather support of the troops overseas, which i was able to do from a base in the U.S. But anyhow, military family reunion videos are always sure to make me extremely emotional. Btw, after finishing his 6 months in the Persian Gulf my brother returned home just fine, I just wish we could say that about everyone who was sent overseas.

Great song from a band straight out of Mississppi. I might have recommended that your first introduction to 3 Doors Down be their banger of a breakout single, "Kryptonite", but this is good two. It's worth noting that FOUR OF THEIR FIRST FIVE SINGLES all hit #1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart between 2000 and 2002. You should also check out "Loser", "Duck and Run", and "It's Not My Time". The lead singer, who has been fronting the band for over 25 years, is Brad Arnold - the only member of the original lineup who's still with the band. Also - Amber, please introduce Jay to Nine Inch Nails. "Closer", "Head Like a Hole", "Only".... so many great songs. Trent Reznor is a musical genius.

Sorry Spirit Animal, I will respectfully disagree. I think this was a GREAT first introduction to 3 Doors Down. In fact, I love this song but not especially a fan of Kryptonite. Maybe that's because they played the hell out it when it first came out. 🤪 lol

I agree that they should go back to the one that kicked it off for them - “Kryptonite”. Then devour the rest of their catalog … 😉 Also a massive YES to Nine Inch Nails!!! I’ve been lucky to see them in concert twice. Closer, Head Like A Hole, Hand That Feeds, Only, and Every Day is Exactly the Same. Oh! They should then also check out the movie Wanted.

This was an anthem for everyone here in the states, to keep us thinking about all the men and women we had serving overseas. And it helped make their homecomings much warmer than vets getting back from Vietnam had to deal with.

He was born with an auto immune disorder and had to have a bone marrow transplant about a month ago. We are finally close to getting him home. When Desert Storm happened and then the Gulf War, I was in my early teens and then early 20s. I knew many families whose sons were overseas. The tears from parents, siblings, wives and children are very very real ... and was hard to see. A few never made it home, I remember on my birthday the military arriving at the house we were all at to tell the homeowner who was having the get together her husband was killed. I can still hear her cries to this day and the scream of his sister. You don't forget that.

Another (completely different) song entitled, "When I'm Gone," came out in the 60's and was written by folk singer Phil Ochs. At that time, he was considered a contemporary of Bob Dylan and put together an impressive catalog of songs. You can add to your "new artist" list by reacting to that song.

Marine veteran here, thanks for the mental health mention. There is way too much of a stigma attached to mental health in general, but even more so for us veterans. The hardest part for us is admitting we need help. We're used to improvising, adapting, overcoming things at all odds...but once you are back home, you often feel alone with this battle having to deal by yourself. Then you add survivor guilt on top of missing the ones we lost, and it becomes unbearable at times.

Being a 'Brit' I first heard 'Kryptonite' in the early 2000's and wanted to know more and got into 3 Doors Down. I'm not really a 'rock' fan but I know what I like. My best friend who is a 'Rocker' found these 'too modern' for her taste LOL. (She is 7 years older than me and into Bon Jovi and Aerosmith etc). But I like them and have their albums. My favourites are 'Here without you' 'Kryptonite' this and many others.

These guys are so cool!! This album was released in 2002. I was stationed in Bahrain and did security for them during their USO tour. Most of the video footage is from that tour. I put them on the transport out to the carrier in this video. Spent 3 days with them and they are incredibly down to earth and huge supporters of the military. Chris (guitarist) was in the Navy reserves when they got their record deal.

Got to Meet Brad Arnold (Lead Singer) in around 2004 and hang out for about 2 hours. Could not meet a nicer person. Was so down to earth and just like hanging out with a normal person. I gained so much respect for the band that day. They have a lot of songs that Rock!

Finally! I’ve been requesting this specific song everywhere! So hyped-Please do their song “Here without you” next and then “Kryptonite.” 💜💙 For my brothers- both in their 40’s and 1 retired from Marines after 20+ years- the other is now teaching in the Army Reserve after 20+ years. Love my brothers sooo much! Experiencing those goodbyes before deploying ain’t easy!!

❤️ Amber's shirt. Yes, "Here Without You" is similar, one of my favorite ballads. "Kryptonite" is such a cool beat and video. Another good veteran song Bret Michaels "All I Ever Needed (Iraq Footage)" or Sailor Jerri- Hallelujah "Veterans Version" cover. Awesome reaction guys.

This song man. I went into the Army in 2003 and went to OIF and was in for 10 yrs. This song was a beginning point before I went in. I love this song. I just found you both today and I love you both! I’m subscribed! I love good people and you’re it! Love from Atlanta.
