Jay is American born and raised in Seattle but later moved to Korea in his early 20s I believe and was in a kpop group called 2PM he later got kicked out and got some backlash from Korea as a whole so I’m pretty sure he went back to the states to get his shit figured out and then went back out there in Korea to pursue his solo career as well as founding his music labels AOMG & H1GHER MUSIC :)

@@bagirockcarlguksoo1786 he back to states and worked in car workshop changing tyres for a while. Fans fought hard for him and miraculously he covered a song singing "nothings on you" in bathroom. His first single to comeback to music was his featuring in Dumbfounded's song. Then he backed via AOMg with Caca Malone (i was one of fans crying saw his picture bowing 90 degree in incheon before flew back to Seattle)

@@MargotDePerla Jay was a teenager came to become a trainee in Korea. He was young and immature and life as a trainee is harsh. He wrote a lot of comments that complaining re. Korea, korean people and culture. Somehow those comments are unearthed. It caused havoc, that a leader from 2PM made such remarks. He apologized again and again but ended up JYP terminated his contract and a lot of people asked him to leave Korea since he was considered disrespect to Korean people. The day he left a lot of fans were cried for him at the airport. People tought he was over but somehow miracle happened. Jaebum's life is a definition of wheel of life indeed. Actually i remembered AXN had a documentary on Jay Park aka Park Jaebum

This is a good chill song but Jay Park has other songs where he really shows his talent in both rapping and singing. Definitely hope you all check out more of his songs and possibly check out other more Korean rappers such as Dok2, Beenzimo, Okasian, DPRLive and Sik-k.

YESSS MORE JAY PARK!! I would suggest PLT - hocus pocus or igoholic for more k hip hop sounds. Also I would suggest the k-artists DEAN, crush, junny, DPR for more k r&b! there's way more than just the kpop scene or "idol" music. I will keep suggesting them LOL. Jay Park is born and raised in Seattle so he is American! He also signed onto ROC Nation too!

Jay Park is Khiphop not Kpop, he also is no longer signed to Roc Nation he did not re-sign his contract because he wanted to concentrate on the 2 labels he owns in Korea, his labels AOMG & H1ghr Music are 2 of the biggest hiphop/ R&B labels in Korea, he is a big fan of 90's hiphop and R&B, you should check out his freestyle on Sway in the morning

@@user-of8ck3gf8u yeah, I saw that but I'm not sure if they just haven't updated the list of artists yet, I'm pretty sure he said he didn't re-sign his contract but Jay Park is always fooling around so I could be wrong but I did notice how he doesn't reference Roc Nation anymore he just says AOMG & H1ghr Music, also Law his AR rep from Roc Nation used to comment on Jay Parks IG posts alot and he hasn't done that in months but like I said I could be wrong

@@nancygamble4558 Jay Park said he was thinking about whether to renew his contract, and I speak to you with confidence that Jay never said he didn't re-sign. And until a while ago, Jay had been asked a question like "You belong to Roc Nation.. Have you ever met Jay-Z? And blah blah..." , and if he hadn't re-signed, I'm sure Jay would have told them he was no longer a member of the Roc Nation, but he didn't say that. I think that means he has renewed the contract. And I've checked the Roc Nation web page several times, and they don't neglect to update.

Hey! I've watched a few of your videos now and just wanted to let yall know maybe your mic volume is a little low or the music from the video is too high. I find my volume at 60% trying to hear yall speak but gotta lower it back to 15% when it's just the music playing so then I can barely hear yall when yall comment while the music is playing! for your info, the kpop industry and the khiphop (khh) industry are way different, most of khh artists dont like being compared to or associated with the kpop scene (not all of them, but a big part). in kpop they have mainly groups with 4+ members and all that stuff. if you want to know more about khh i would reccomend justhis killing verse (its a section they take rappers in and they show their best verses throughout their careers), its really different and nice

FYI: Saké (pronounced sahk-eh) is a Japanese rice wine. Soju is a Korean beverage (that also happens to be based off rice) that has about 17% to 23% alcohol content. It's a very popular drink that everyone, from college students to grandmas, loves to drink.
