Jay Slater's mother gives update as search in Tenerife continues

Jay Slater's mother has given an update via a £35,000 fundraising page set up to help the search for the missing teenager.
Debbie Duncan said the family were working with GoFundMe to withdraw some of the money raised to help cover expenses while the family are in Tenerife in order to support mountain rescuers scouring the island for the 19-year-old.
The search for her son has entered its 11th day, but she says the family are "not losing hope."

Typically with mountain rescue ops they don't let family and friends go out searching as it's likely to lead to one of them also needing rescuing as they're not trained or usually thinking straight so it's all a load of bollocks.

I agree. The 2 guys obvious dealers: keep low profile, no publicity, "johnny vegas" from Luton, drinks expensive hennesy cognac, stays at remote bnb. Jay Slater prob took something extra from them he didn't pay for , had to leave quick in morning but didn't know where he was, goes all over the place trying to keep them off his track, they wake up, catch up to him and dumps him in the sea.

Two things jumped out, when jay asked the woman in Masca what time the bus was he asked her twice which could be the language barrier however to ask her twice seems he was keen to get away from that house I think whatever happened there causing him to walk is something that scared him happened then allegedly on the phone call with Lucy he again said twice “I can’t go bk there, I can’t go back there sounds like panic obv no water or direction but also the fact these two guys left the island the next day is bizarre in its self as they still had six days left of their holiday

Lucy Mae Law has been to over 30 countries Worldwide since 2021 inc: Malta, Jamacia, Ibiza, Greece, Budapest, Liverpool, Barcelona, Canaries, Belgium, etc all to festivals. She also posted in Jue last year she required accommodation from 25th June- 1st Sept 2024 in Tenerife. Also has access to a luxury yacht registered in Belgium but lately in Funchal & tenerife- the Maramua- something not right.

She's being a bit economical with the truth. Firstly saying that she was paying her own expenses, but we have since found out that where she is staying are kindly letting her stay free of charge. Also that "Lucy Mae Law" -just look at her last 2 years of visiting numerous exotic places -just in 2024 this year she has been to 8 tourist hotspots Worldwide at "Festivals" & also posted requiring 28th June -1st Sept accommodation req in Tenrife. She has been to Ibiza, Malta, Jamacia, Budapest, Liverpool, barcelone- to name but a few places since 2021.

I get the skepticism and I get that he has had a less than clean past and I'mnot saying he's forgiven but also not saying he deserves the efforts and attentions this is requiring... But people talking about his folks having a free holiday in Tenerife are a little off the mark... its hardly like they can go and spend a day on the beach, retire to a taverna for a boozy session and food, then go home, drink more, wake up with a lazy hangover and lounge by the pool villa in the morning only to repeat the previous day... If it is all a con, they're going to be heavily watched by everyone with reporters wanting to know how emotional their morning bowel movement was...

The Spanish police need to post plain clothes officers in every bar when the England match is on on Sunday. If he’s faking it, they’ll soon find him. They also need to locate a yacht called Maramu. That’s a yacht that the young girl who he called frequents on her many trips around the world to events. The police also needs to interview her to find out what exactly it is she hustles at these events!

I think at this point the Spanish police are aware that he is somewhere in the mountains as they continue to search that specific area but I believe he has been left there and has fallen foul of the drug gangs!

The cartels wouldn't leave him on the mountain. (Too risky for them: DNA, clues, evidence) They'd take him somewhere else by boat perhaps, or by car, to the opposite end of the island, away from prying eyes, press, police and public, and calmly deal with the situation there.
