Jay was coming up before Pac died, Reasonable Doubt was killing it! So glad I was there so I don't have to rely on hate and bias. By the way... Jay dropped his first verse in 86' "HP Gets Busy" wayyy before Pac ever came out. Google it. Stop just listening to bias commentary. Also, look up DJ Clark Kent video on introducing Big to Jay.
It was more so when biggie died. No one paid attention to jay when big was ruling shit. Jay’s career was almost over before it started and then big passed and his fortunes changed. He was just a random rapper from New York at the time. Jay really blew up when he came out with “ can I get a” and that was off the strength of Ja Rule who was unknown at the time and Ja wrote the hook to the song.
@@shemarmoore5292 pac sold 3.5 million records on me against the world in 95. So how would pac be last? In 96 pac had 2 number one albums and big was still Alive. So again how would pac be at the back of the line when he sold 10 million records while big was alive. Big didn't die until 97 15 million tupac sales before he died.
Pac was Dissing Jay for Hawaiian Sophie Jay could say the same about him. He was a background dancer for Digital Underground.. Then he turned into Makaveli lol . Everybody gotta start somewhere.
Pac had to change his whole album because big copied it he came up with me against the world pac spoke on all this stuff early and big ain’t say a mumbling word
@@cassandraclark5499 how ? Tupac was not hard core, not a lyricist and a story teller . Biggie was ahead of his time which made New York niggas Wutang hating on him and later on they picked same style of which biggie
@Shemar Moore shemar you off base here, wu tang may have been hating on big cause of his album cover which was the same as nas debut but to say they copied biggie style is inappropriate.. wu tang had they own style and identity totally different from biggie and you said pac wasn't hardcore listen to under pressure off the thuglife album dropped in 94, not a lyricist check if I die tonight off the MATW album in 95, Not a storyteller check story about Brenda of his debut album in 91...I'm from NYC same age as big and I respect and appreciate his gritty NYC style but you don't have to put other great artists down to acknowledge big greatness cause his legacy can stand on its own (just a little food for thought)
JayZ mentioned in his Money Cash Hoes song that NewYork been soft every since Snoop came thru and crushed the buildings, and Mobb deep got on JaYZ ass about it😂
You mean the same mob deep that didn’t make any good music after takeover? You mean the same havoc that switch his whole style cuz jayz gave home that heat? You may say ether is better than takeover but takeover actually destroy a career. Prodigy really did go from top ten to not mention at all
Big used that same line “ kick in the door waving the 44” line on the junior mafia song “ get money “ before he turned it into a whole song on the “ life after death “ album
JaYZ was Quiet as a Church Mouse when the EastCoast vs WestCoast beef was going on….that’s the Reason why Prodigy from Mobb Deep was beefing with JayZ about,
Jay was a nobody at the time. What could he have said and the people would have listened? He had no power at the time. If you was around then, then you would know.
Karceno...what are you talking about Marcy is in Bed stuy....I'm from Philly and I know this...and it's always been quite deplorable....you don't know what your talking about......
CENO Need To Talk More About The Unreleased Diss Song 2Pac Has On Jay Z , Mobb Deep , Fugees , De La Soul , Big , When We Ride On Our Enemies , Fuck Friends , Lil Homiez , When Thugz Cry , All Out , Watch Ya Mouth , NY 87’ , Never Got To Officially Release But There All On RU-vid Straight Fire 🔥🔥🔥🤦🏾♂️
Jay edited Big's verse, there is an old XXL article that says he took out a line where Big said "Most hated in California". Pretty sure it was from the Reasonable Doubt 10th Anniversary release. Being it was his debut album he didn't want to kill any potential sales on the west coast.
The name of Jay's 1st album was "Reasonable Doubt"...NOT "Dead Presidents". That was a single on the album. I'm telling y'all this old dude just rambles like old dudes do
@@kapo2012fb I ain’t going to go there bro. Ceno is good people’s, seems to be man of character and has been in the Industry but on this one there was some erroneous stuff. Actually Wu Tang shouted Marcy out on the Wu Tang Forever album also. I am from the BX but grew up in East Orange NJ. The only reason I know about Marcy is because I had a ex that lived in Tompkins right down the street from Marcy.
First off big started after hov but people knew hov his rap style was just different but it’s no slight on hov because he’s from Marcy they get there just due
@@thebettingpublicsportsshow I think most of his audience are either very young or stupid. Sometimes he be saying stuff that are straight cap 🧢 and no one checks him for it
If Jay would have put that shit out back then Pac would have cooked Jay. Jay wasn't even hot at that time. For him to jump in that water with pac would have been suicide
I wouldn't be surprised if Jay called a hit on Big. Yea, he looked up to him, but he would've remained a shadow. "He went from Jaz to Big to Eminem murdered him on his own sh--." lmao literally.
JAY STATED THAT HE ASKED BIGGIE ABOUT GOING AT PAC, AND HE SAID BIG SAID NA IM NOT DOING THAT, SO THATS WHY HOV FELL BACK TOO. CENO JUST DONT LIKE JAY. RESPECTFULLY.
Everybody but P? Pac didn't diss everybody so why would they jump in? Well known lyricists there in NYC were alive and still in the rap game. So let's not make it seem as if they feared Pac. 🙄🤔
People are always persecuting Jay for being smart. He knows how to move. A lot of these other guys are reckless and foolish. Being in the streets will not only ruin your career but end your life.
I firmly believe Jay would've sauced up, would he have won maybe, but he would've gave some great disses on Vol 1 for Pac and had tracks with Biggie if they both aint die.
Jay wasn't in the streets in Brooklyn AT ALL. Any work he did was out of town, small time drug dealing in other states. The drug game back then ran through the Gambinos. That was after Paul C was killed and they were heavy into drugs. Jay couldn't have done any big work at that time without their approval. Jay has always been talking more than he is actually doing.
@@GDSprodify Yeah, he might have done some work out there in DMV, but he was never in the streets in any part of NYC the way he says he was. It was a thing back then to go down south and buy for cheap, remember when Puffy stopped Biggie from doing that? But Jay was never in the streets in NY in any big way.
@@blackjesus2473 OK. But I'm really from Brooklyn and Jay Z wasn't a thing there. My family is in Brooklyn since the 1800s. Jay-Z was hired to write for Foxy, pushed DMX out of his label and developed this NYC hood persona that the White kids in the burbs really thought was hood.
For Jay to be in cahoots with Puff knowing dam well he got Big smoked speaks volumes about him. Boy ain't built like nothing that's why he waited for the smoke to clear. Spooky nigra
So I’m watchin a rap city rerun from 1997 big lez guest are the lost boys on this episode and I haven’t saw a jay z video come on yet can somebody explain to me why is this?
Yoo why everybody think rappers weee afraid of pac hov literally battled DMX face to face on a pool table stop it lyrically pac couldn’t see Big or Hov.
