Another virtuosic rock trio that started out as a LTS cover band is Sokoninaru (そこに鳴る) which has gained a sizable international fan base recently.

ASTERISM does a awesome version of "Unravel"

An impressive performance, but I have a hard time associate this with a song I regularly listen to. Would have loved to be in the audience though. Ado makes more "listen friendly" songs. Ado is a phenomena. Japan is full of interesting surprises. I have actively trying to avoid her for a while so I have no other things to base this on. Not going to lie, some of the vocal lines sound extremely edited and possibly auto-tuned or changed in post, it's very electronic sounding at points, I am somewhat disappointed with all the hype around her vocals. I assume this is off a blu-ray release or something, it is what it is but I prefer less production for live music. I am still not 100% convinced she couldn't be AI or "vocaloid" driven to be honest. Unlike an act like Zutomayo or Yorushika (they don't show their faces either) where it's clearly people standing on stage, this could be whatever projection behind a curtain, but I can see why people like her as much as they do and it doesn't mean there is no room for this music which is clearly doing very well. The vocals were sounding too altered for my taste but I liked the performance overall, and I have no doubt that if it is a real person singing it wouldn't have as much electronica on it if you were to see her live (not from some processed video). I am not a huge fan of the Asterism cover with Pellek, which also has post-production on the vocals for their "live" video, but I enjoy that one more than this one (which I believe is the original?). All in all I might check out something else by Ado over time, it's unfortunate that Japan has such strict rules on fancams because I want to be able to hear an unprocessed vocal which we will probably never going to get without going to a concert.
