Best bluetooth headphones you can get. I had the originals Bluebuds X and abused them in the gym. After about 13 months of use, the left earbud died. I contacted jaybird since they have a lifetime warranty against sweat and they sent me a brand new X2 for free...fantastic customer service

I got mine a day or two ago and they are AMAZING. I've had countless earbuds and they could not stay in for nothing, these headphones running laps around other in ear headphones.

which way is the controller suppose to be on? i see people put it on the left side. i have it on the right side and i feel like it's a better fit, doesn't slip out.

The gap of sound quality between wired and wireless earbuds/headphones are closing in which makes buying any headphone an even more difficult choice but if i got the extra cash i would go for these wireless and a wired ones. At such a price point you can't go wrong i.m.o with these so good stuff.

Wired will always be the best for awesome sound quality. Ever since i purchased the Sennheiser HD 598's for $153. I havnt gone back to wireless since. Wired is the way to go for best sound.

While that's generally true, it isn't always true (if the DSP/DAC on your source is inferior to your wireless headset's DSP/DAC it wont be), wired isn't always practical, sometimes it can be a right pain in the ass.

aidanjt I personally find bluetooth the bigger pain in the ass. I hate having to deal with pairing and keeping them charged and how they randomly disconnect.

***** Modern bluetooth sets only need paired once. Charging is a pain, sure. But it's a necessary tradeoff for vastly improved portability.

aidanjt Yea bluetooths are more portable but i hate sacrificing sound quality. Especially with me having the HTC 10. I love using my headphone jack 💪💪💪💪.

***** I still use wired myself, since the sound quality to price ratio is much higher (for my phone at least). But if I had 100+ to spend and nothing else to spend it on, I'd probably get a decent set of bluetooth earbuds or headset. The dangling wire is annoying as fuck when out and about.

The Nexus 6P DAC struggle is real. It's not that it's bad it's just that apps like Google Play Music and Spotify don't push it for some reason, only SoundCloud takes full advantage.

I've found Jaybirds sweatproof claims are a bit skewed. well with the Freedoms anyways. I've gone through 3 sets because of supposedly having acid sweat. that's what they claimed I had since I wore my freedoms in the gym during cardio sessions

I have the X2s and they are legit. Never had a problem with them, they don't fall out of my ears, and they sound amazing.

I had the x2s didn't say hey weren't legit. just the size didn't work for what I need it for. always felt cumbersome and never really fit well in my ears.

These look nice. I can recommend the JLab Epic2s though. Sound is pretty good, Bluetooth range is great, sweatproofing seems great so far & the battery lasts *forever*.

Try the TaoTronics 4.1 Earbuds. They are less than a 1/4th of the price and do almost as good a job.

You get what you pay for, especially for something like running. The X2s are the only earbuds I've owned that didn't fall out of my ears eventually.

szpinak222 X2s have been $80 this past month. I picked them up knowing the X3s were about to come out and don't regret a single thing. $80 for the X2s vs whatever new thing in the X3 for $130 is still a steal in my book.

great review, one thing, you forgot to mention how long it takes to recharge... Can you fit a lanyard to the carry case? Does the charge lead fit in the carry case with the earphones? Great review still.

I totally agree to the sound quality part. they do have good soundstage and pretty good bass. but somehow I am not liking the midrange. vocals sound a bit tiny to me.

One thing that no one talks about, at least with the X2's, is that if you have a pebble and android (maybe android wear too, but I only checked with my s7e and pebble time) there is SERIOUS quality degradation whenever your phone is attached to your smartwatch. I think this is because of bluetooth bandwidth issues, but it's really really disappointing. My X2's sound great through my macbook air, but they sound like garbage when I play anything through my phone while my smartwatch is connected.

that's why the Plantronics back beat are better the band is rubberized and the charging port is a micro USB with a small door you open up updating them is easy.

I was happy to receive these as a Christmas present. They fall out of synch with video, such as RU-vid or Facebook clips. Their battery life quality control is mixed: I'm on my second pair, and neither performed even closely to the advertised eight hours. I would strongly advise a different product.

I have a set of MEE wired sport earbuds and I love the way they have the wrap around ear. I love mine For only 99 dollars not bad. Fit great ..so many sound tweak options Water resistance...good buy if u ask me. The real test will come when i forget and leave them in my scrub pocket and wash them.....ha ha ha
