Continued blessings, sending love, support, growth, and development for your journey as an athlete in the states. Keep trusting and listening to your family and coach. Your degree should always be your first priority because there can be a very bright future after track and building a brand during.

Kid is a phenom. But his coaches were insane to shut him down after jumping 17.87m a few weeks ago. When the athlete is "on", you let them jump. I get it, injury prevention. But he's 18yrs old, he'll live. Let him coast the next meets and NCAA Finals. But never, ever, ever, hinder an athlete's momentum. There's enough uncontrollable forces working against momentum, without a coach adding to it.

Insane? Triple jump is one of the most physically demanding sports and he’s trying to compete at Budapest in august. Why would his coach want to exert himself completely in May?

I was a cripple jumper, I'm well aware. Because when you're on, you're on. You want to allow the athlete to experience and engrain what jumping that far feels like. Because you can fight years to get back to that level. May or August. If you're on, jump. If not, fine, preserve. But don't throw away the single reason the athlete has been working an entire year for.

He is currently going through a growth spurt (grew 2 inches since January already) so they're managing his pain by doing this. At NCAAs yesterday he took 4 jumps and pulled up on his 4th, so seems like they're doing the right thing by usually having him do less than that.

SO ...I did not want to give your disgusting observation energy ...However, of all his accomplishments this season thats all you see fit to highlight. HE IS ONLY 18 years old... he is growing into himself ..
