Nice to see Jayne standing at the end of a performance for a change. They are brilliant. They bring tears of joy to my eyes. Now that's what you call entertainment!
Chris is so fast, seriously, he can move with lightning speed and incredible grace. He had those gifts even when he was very young when you could expect a bit of awkward clumsy. I find this particularly delightful and unusual in men because society does not demand it of them as it does of women.
Wow! Somehow I'm only just finding this in 2018. Jane Torvill was 55 in 2013 & she did that! Are you kidding me??? That was one of the best things I've seen in ages. Thanks for the upload Rhiannydd.
They are awesome. There will never be another Torvill and Dean, I don't think another couple will ever match their talent. RIP Sir's Terry and Brucie too, two fabulous tv and radio presenters, two tv legends and two true gentlemen from a bygone era.
This is the first time I've seen the whole special, and I have to say it was even more fun than just the dance clip I've seen many times. That introductory skit was hilarious. And it's no wonder James agreed to return the favor and compete on Dancing on Ice 2019 -- he clearly had a ball working with Jayne and Christopher!
7 years on and then to now , 2020 and this is fabulous and loved every moment of it , Watch these two win their medals 🏅 and really they are still special , congratulations
They always come across as humble which is really nice to see after what they have achieved. Most people would have made the fame and fortune go to their heads but not these two.... Such lovely, charismatic people. ❤️
I know right... lot of the sports people of today should take note of this... u dont have to be loud or act like what i call idiotic on or off the sports fields, courts etc... just be as good as u can be at what u choose to do... thats all they have done and people still love and respect them to this day and will do for years and years to come even long after they finally go to their skating rink in the sky...
I met Torvill and Dean, having been a lifelong fan. Jayne was rude and impatient and made disparaging remarks about their fans. Chris can no longer pronounce the name of his home town and thinks British fans are uncouth. We had beautifully wrapped, classy gifts for them...we never got a smile. The experience was disappointing and hurtful. I have never watched them again.
How have I missed this? Amazing! I've always loved watching them, and they never disappoint. I don't know why but I found it really emotional watching them and, to my surprise, was in tears at the end.
That's so true. I grew up watching him every Saturday night on tv. I think they need to get new hosts on strictly. Tess is so boring to watch. The other one isnt worth commenting on.
Looking at some of the comments, I suggest that if one has an opinion, to do it in Queen`s English, far better than throwing insults and injury. My cousin is a Skating Coach and knew Torvill and Dean at Nottingham, and I believe rightly so, they deserve their success. It was a hard road for these skaters who had to overcome alot. Success came with hard work, disappointment at times, and forsaking their jobs etc. National Treasures.
@@thesexyone5519 why? Because they didnt do all the razz a matazz and used only one song?... their performance was flawless and the build up of their skating to bolero was done brilliantly, i loved the fact that it was all one song because by using only one song they made their job harder... its much easier to skate a routine with several musical changes, its why so many people do it instead of finding one song that can so all the speed and difficulty changes... later when they did their touring and came to australia i went to see their show and their routines were as perfect as the first time i watched them win the gold... even all these years later they r the same down to earth people and they certainly still HAVE it... so glad i found this clip as it brings back wonderful memories of a humble couple of people who with their talent could have been upstarts like a lot of the sports people and other celebrities r today... in another show talking to them about their time back in 84 after winning their medals they didnt intend to have a huge celebration with a big party... rather they had planned just to go back to the village and in jaynes case make a cup of tea and go to bed... little did they know that princess anne was waiting at midnight which was when they finally got there with others to toast their victory...
@@thesexyone5519 We get it, you don't like them, you don't have to reply to every comment saying this. Why did you watch the video in the first place if you can't stand them
@@sashaleigh3513 well how can you make an opinion without watching something? And the same goes for you you don't have to keep replying to me either do you? works both ways. You have your opinion and I have mine.
@@sashaleigh3513 well you're not replying to me once now are you, you keep replying to me so that makes you as bad as me doesn't it? Yes I think Torvill and Dean are a load of shit they can't skate for toffee and the Russians and the Chinese were much better that's my opinion and I am sticking to it.
@@@thesexyone5519 Not only are you rude, but you clearly know nothing about ice dancing. I'm very curious which Chinese couple was better than them? Could you please give me their names?
