My thoughts exactly. And I don't care if it was Tyra's boss's boss's boss that said that they had to go - if she would have stood up for them they would have been able to stay. They seem to still be loyal to Tyra, but at the end of the day Tyra was not loyal to them.
My name is Stacey Angela Williams and my crochet earrings were on Cycle 4 with Naima... Q was the stylist. You guys changed my career for the better. Always wanted to thank you guys
@@KvngDerrick then I'm wrong. It's still my earrings still greatful. Took a while to get pics but when they came in it was a blessing. Blessings to them.
I wonder if Mr. Jay had gotten paid fairly for all of his contributions to ANTM. He was a solid force behind it all. I think even as a young fan of the show I knew that Mr. Jay was a key element of the show. Then Miss Jay would officially sign on and an awesome duo was formed. Mr & Miss Jay
This really made me realized how much I miss these two. They were a part of my teenage life. Watching the very first cycle of ANTM when I was 14. Then all the way through high school and college. It's like seeing old family again.
I can’t wait for all the girls today to look back at how ridiculous they all looked wearing high waisted pants. p.s. : I’m sorry if you do I’m not a fan...
I can't believe Mr Jay paid for that helmet with his own money! Hold my beer: I can't believe he gave it away! That helmet is sooooo Iconic it's hilarious that there's someone out there actually riding around using it for it's intended purpose when it should be in a museum Lol.
Yo reimburse Jay for that iconic helmet Joanna wore! It’s one of the best shots from all 24 seasons! That’s so unfair that he had to pay for it out of his own money when that photo made it into the history books
@@Nayababy804 Crap!! Tyra was a bully. Google Lauren Hutton. Body positivity was always in. She knew better, she is full of her self with her BIG ASS FOREHEAD.
@@Nayababy804 This fake woke, hypocritical culture is annoying. The gap was nothing, even Dani said she didnt find her value in a gap. By the way, I'm 100% sure the real fashion industry is worse.
Yall need more than a podcast! Yall need a showwwwww!!! I wanna see facial expressions, body language etc. Yall are so entertaining. The generation after top model deserve to know you guys omggg!! 💓
Mr. Jay really was a driving force in the show. The dedication and work ethic as a creative, I loooove. And he is 6'1??! I would've never known but then again they've cast tall models
Can y’all talk about when miss jay said that girl looked like she was on crack, her eyes were so bugged eyed, look like something scared the hell outta her!😂🤣
Ohmygawwwddd please don't stop doing this! I think it's a great way to substitute income and I love watching you guys. I've been in the beauty/cosmetology industry for a while and Mr Jay you just inspire me so much! It's just so hard nowadays to break out as a makeup artist over here in NYC. Anyways please don't stop! Love you both ••Miss Jay please start using a microphone or earbuds like Mr Jay because it's hard to understand you, as opposed to Mr Jay he sounds more clear because he's using earbuds.
she was working with desigual before antm. she was known on instagram and tumblr. she kept working because of her own special characteristics and her work ethic
@@teresamesa that is nice but she blew up due to a national show. No issues but that is why these shows - Idol, ANTM, X factor,... exist. To take people from Tumbler, local to international fame.
@@mommynab true for many cases, but i do believe she would still have a big career without depending on the show. desigual is a well known brand. the show didn't even paint her in a good light, why would it open doors to her?
I've always been so curious what Tyra really said when April was eliminated. You can clearly hear it's ADR when she's saying "oh april you didn't connect emotionally with the camera" but clearly from the story arc of the episode April was eliminated because she was too assertive in the photoshoot and the photographer felt she was stepping on his toes. I suspect in the moment she told April that she was eliminated for being too forward in the shoot, but I wonder why they re-edited it and added ADR to change "why" she was eliminated.
@@marissar.359 Automated Dialog Replacement. When you re-record audio (often because of background noise and other issues) and put it over the original footage. You can hear the difference many times when Tyra is talking. It happened a lot when they cut away to someone else and it just sounds like it doesn't fit. They were definitely adding things in that she probably didn't say in the moment.
I really liked Camille. She really stood out from the other contestants & the others didn't like her because they were jealous. I must agree that as a Black individual we for have to work 3x harder than others to succeed. Aside from her not being humble she was transparent & kept it real 100%.
I only ever watched up to/half way through cycle 15. My daughter wanted to binge from cycle one and I wasn't thrilled to HOWEVA am glad that we have and I've had so many questions. Things that I never noticed or considered back then. I can't believe that I've JUST seen these! This is great!
Y'all always giving me life. Love love love you. And ya made the show what it was. I dont even wanna know what the show would be like without you. Ur both tv magic!💙
Fun fact: some of the background songs "everybody needs love" when shandi was caught in the bathtub and "love me tonight" were by Nia Lim....I went to high school with her...she won Guam Idol back in her country....she was so talented and I can't believe top model cycle 2 played those songs🤗
I love that helmet picture of Yoanna but Man I LOOVE the wire picture of Mercedes bother we’re iconic but Mercedes picture had more of an edge in my opinion
30:48 So now we also know that Jay narrows down the photos to 3-4 of the Best shots for Tyra to choose from. This was another question everybody debates as to whether they intentionally pick the worst photo sometimes. He does say on the Cycle 4 Video that other pics mysteriously show up at Judging. So there is that. But Tyra has said sometimes they pick a bad photo to teach them about their mistakes. There should be another time for that though.
I loved this cycle yovanna really had it and i loved she won !!! And i love she kinda looked like Micheal jackson in a femine good way !! Just an awesome sweet person with all that edgy look
YASSSSSSSSSSSS ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I ADORE THIS! WHERE THE FUCK WHERE WAS I - 5 MONTHS AGO? I'm so excited. I want to see you both on Netflix tuuuuhgethah 😍 this energetically is perfect. I need more and I'm binge watching them all.
I am waiting for season seven because of Melrose. She is also opening up about all of this and cannot wait what the Jays are about to say. #realwinnerofseason7
Hey, when did this start up. I can't believe it. I started watching all the ANTM episodies (1-15) because after the 15th episode you gotta pay....lol. I have never laughed so hard at some of those episodes. I loved you guys so much and I still do. Yall have not changed in looks after all these years. You guys were great. I stopped looking when they became tooo modern......lol with the computer and people voting. I gotto subscribe. I don't wanna miss no tea! Yall gota away with a lot of crap (funny crap)!
Season 2 was very competitive and the girls were of high caliber for the most part. The top 7 were strong in their own ways. Anyone from the top 4 could have won and I would have been fine with it.
I personally had no issue with Xiomara getting dark makeup to look like Grace Jones. Nor did I have any issues with the future Cycles where they Darked girls faces and complexion to look like other ethnicities. For me, it becomes a problem when you have a white ( or non-black) person who where's blackface as entertainment and to make them look stereotypically "black." And when it's intended to be funny to white audiences like they did back in the day.
The ease of social media has people thinking that the fashion industry is fun, nice and kind. It's never been that. The show was advertised as preparing the girls for the realness of the fashion industry so the ANTM judges were as harsh as the industry. It was never some nice, fund modeling contest. The fashion industry is not for the faint of heart. The girls weren't selling themselves, they were working for designers. That's how it is.
It’s still crazy to me to this very day just how many moments throughout the run of ANTM in which such a character like Miss J was made to look quiet/demure/etc in comparison to Tyra’s crazy ass antics. LOL.
I'm so sad wait did i miss something but did they gloss over Jenascia's sleeping in drama??????? Also i wanted to ask if mr. jay really did think April overstepped her boundaries w/ the 'self directing' for the naked milan duo shoot for the top 4?
