I have played by ear for years. I knew a little about how chords were built but never put it together in my playing. A few weeks ago I saw a video about 2 note major and minor shapes. It made something click. It was simple. Same 2 note shapes for major and same for minor all over the fretboard. Then add the other notes off those shapes. Now I see Frank with this similar video but takes it a few steps further. I never watched Franks videos before. He such an advanced player that I figured it would all be over my head but he really takes the time to get down to the basics so some of us slower folks can grasp it. I subscribed to his channel today. Hopefully other people subscribe as well so we can keep getting this great info from Frank. I hope his channel succeeds so he can keep making more videos for us. Thank you

This is a great lesson by a wonderful teacher. There's something I didn't get, though. Around 33:05 Frank introduces a 2 5 1 in a minor key (Am7 - D7 - Gm7). I don't understand, the ii chord shouldn't be Am7b5 instead of Am7 ??

Thanks Frank. This is a really cool building block to add to my repertoire. Helps build a 3-note chord vocabulary that can be expanded as I get better.

Dang! Just when I'm ready to give up on guitar and take up a tuba, this sweet lesson, makes what others made so complicated, Frank makes understandable and expandable. OK no tuba - for now.
