The pianist in our group gave me a list of tunes to work on for a small performance. He has it in the key of Ab. I'm coming from pop-rock and am a beginning jazz guitarist in my retirement. I learned the song in G. Which is the "proper" key for SGB please? Thanks again for a great video!

As an experienced blues and folk rock guitarist just beginning to learn jazz, I made more sense out of beginning jazz with you Frank than I have with scores of other jazz teachers. For some reason some of the chords that I've played for years suddenly came together and made sense. I appreciate your approach to simplicity, yet variety of shapes playing similar chords. So glad I found your channel and your fine teaching.

Hey Frank I have to say I absolutely love your videos. Not a lot of confusing talk and a TON of useful info . I have struggling with a lot of the knowledge I’ve accumulated over my 60 plus years of playing and as of late been working hard to put it all together . Tired of saying i know that but still not able to put the pieces of the puzzle together. I love how you show and explain then turn it back on us to apply it , all of a sudden the light comes on and I can see where the pieces fit . That little piece you put out there and boom a ton of the other bit i know fall into place . Thank !!!!! Play on !!! Jame
