I wish Cliff Blezinzki wouldn't have turned his back on the franchise. Jazz and Jazz 2 were my favorite games as a kid, and still are to this day, and I believe these were his design. But No, he decides to leave the company, and base his new company around a fortnite ripoff that no one asked for, and fail miserably. Just think, had he focused on Jazz jackrabbit 3, he could could've had a cheap, fast, profitable and very much wanted sequel for the public. But sadly this was not to be. . . .
I went apeshit just for the music in the shareware copy. I got JazzCd for a birthday and that is the first CD I ever wore out. But have you seen how much they wanted for Jazz 1 back in the 90s!??? It was so expensive, and they had to make their money back several times over. LGRs history just makes me love it even more.
It wasn't just Cliff though. It was that dutch superfan that really powered it behind the scenes. Either way I agree. Discusting to treat our rabbit friend we all loved like this.
If this game was continued it would be a serious rival for Sonic... I mean all he songs are so good and unique, game of my childhood and it's still great.
Are you kidding Sonic games are terrible!! Jazz absolutely is 100% superior to Sonic. It wouldn't take long to make Jazz a really popular cultural character. Think about it he's cute but cool, he's got that sort of sarky but good natured attitude that people love. Yeah he is sooooo much better than shitty old Sonic. Sonic sucks ass.
@@DailyCorvid Cute but cool, with snarky attitude but good-natured? You mean, like Sonic? Or the majority of platformer game mascot protagonists for that matter?
@@trainee5471 Sonic isn't anything like that though he's an obnoxious moron with a bad temper and an ego problem. Then later in CGI he's an empty headed ultra-lucky poser moron. But that is not why I can't enjoy Sonic games. Literally couldn't care less what the character of Sonic is was or is not. The reason I hated Sonic games is because in the UK they only ran at 50hz and were terrible. I could care less than Sonic doesn't have cool personality :D
Jazz Jackrabbit is my childhood and my first PC game. I have so many feelings for this game...just wow. I'd love to see a remaster someday. Buy this game in GOG, is a masterpiece.
Unique take on the soundtrack indeed, nice though. This mix has more electric feel than the original. Its really great tho, and no one cant argue with that! Even when i prefer more metal like covers, since i always felt some of the original tracks had more metal feel with some electric on side. Still, this album does very well with capturing whats jj2 soundtrack is. Thank you for everyone making this real,rs!! there just cant be ever too much jj cove! From first to last, i had nothing to argue about, what to make better or not. I love it when cover is not killing the original but enhance it on its own style what is trying to be.
I just discovered this, i used to play Jazz 2, thanks for the awesome memories, great job here that mix with rock and electro i'm in love 😍 thank you ! Edit : favourite one is Labratory 😍
Amazing take on what is one of my favorite soundtracks in games in general. Loved Jazz, the ending of the last track make me feel so nostalgic and happy it hurt.
I think the originals are better., especially for Tubelectric and the JJ2 Theme. But there are some cool remixes here, and the art for the album cover is really badass! It's good to see that people get inspired by Jazz Jackrabbit :D
JJ2 was my childhood. I've grown up on Alexander Brandon's music. I've listened to it, analysed it in ModPlugTracker, and my musical style was largely influenced by his. I can't thank you enough for this awesome tribute. My highlights: Labrat and the Jazz Be Damned tracks
Jazz jack rabbit was a milestone event in PC gaming. Finally, our PC's were better than Amigas and Genesis. We waited such a long time to have smooth scrolling, great graphics and amazing music, all on the PC. Jazz Jackrabbit wiped that smug smile off the console owners and rubbed their noses in it!
21 years ago... damn i feel old now lol I adore this game ♡ and it still works on windows 7 so i can play it :3 really nice versions of the tracks. A great tribute!
Gridscape is MY All BEST!! commented by the BEST MAN EVER MUART'SLORD .. AND SO ON. 11:02 and then, Lab level and Megahit's also my bests.31:29 AND then.. Incredible MY faith :)
I love Megahit's massive use of that famous Yamaha DX7 E. Bass 1 for Tubelectric (made the same choice for my own remix, hoping to release it soon.) But my favorite track in this selection remains Dark Groove. Loved the original of course, but this remix, with its catchy retro drums and awesome bass and synth lines, is an absolute gem. Congratulations to Gridscape! Greetings from France to Hungary!
I died Good thing epic dint forgot about jazz they 96% know of im still but the risk of riviving the series is to high Noice rabbit roasting toast seasion of carrotos is damned
@@jj20team thank you guys, it's amazing you did this, and amazing you are still so responsive. This game shaped my childhood, and the music was a big part of it. PLEASE PLEASE let us know if you are working on anything else.
The best one is the Jazz Be Damned remix, it really feels like a better version of the original track and it is the only one from this album that I 100% prefer over the original track
Great job guys !! I really like the different approaches to making a remix for each of you ! I made a remix of the boss theme myself if you wanna check it :D
The idea is good, but the execution leaves much to be desired. It's hard for me to get past the first song, the kick drum, or even drumset overall and the clavichord like key instrument is completely drowning the synth and bass that gave tubelectric it's fantastic sound
