I just looked it up and apparently Alexander Brandon was born in 1974, and Jazz 2 came out in 1998, which means that this freaking guy made all these amazing soundtracks when he was TWENTY THREE-TWENTY FOUR years old! That is absolutely LEGENDARY.
Same, I always thought that was Marvin, and the ghost was Casper... hell I even imagined Jazz to be either Bugs Bunny or Buster Bunny, and I imagined Lori as Lola. Such good times man... fuck.
Oh gosh, it's been a long time since I downloaded this game lol but I think I got it through Limewire or Frostwire (which are both unfortunately finished now) You could try MyAbandonWare, Abandonia, DOSGamesArchive, or I could just send it to you if all else fails
+vladi569 While I agree with that statement, this games whole soundtrack is killer! But honestly, does it beat Jazz Be Damned? Or Tubelectric for that matter?
+RaveCoin64 I should say... for me ... it does... I love Medieval Jam... also Carrotus one of my favorite tunes... and there is also the Underwater tune and Laboratory... those were my 4 most favorite ones. But in a whole... all of the songs in this game are great. :)
I've had this melody in the back of my head since this game was released, but haven't been able to remember what is was from until now.. Its been 20 years, and finally able to figure out where that melody was from :P
JJ1 was the first game I ever bought. I remember saving and scrimping from allowance and odd jobs, ordering the disks through the mail and then the agonizing 4-6 weeks for the package to arive. Wouldn't trade the experience and wonder that game produced for the world.
The level I could never pass as a child (I had no idea how the boss mechanic worked since I was under 10 at the time). It was so gratifying to come back to the game years later and to finally avenge my younger self :)
Oh god. I started playing JJ1 at the age of 4 (year 1996). By the age of 9, my parents had bought a shiny CD with the shareware version of JJ2. 5 years later, at the age of 14, I had a sudden night vision that accurately restored a multiplayer level (in 3D) with the hoverboard featuring this music. During that dream, I was feeling a great fear that the music may disappear. Those minor chords were so touching, so having woken up, I rushed to the PC, installed the game and verified that the music sounded precisely as it did in the dream. Now I am 22, and this year memory loss began occurring from time to time, so I started forgetting all the recent events, acquaintances and faces. However, owing to the rich childhood experience of the best videogames (Dyna Blaster, Aladdin, Super Frog, Lion King, JJ1&2, Rayman 2 and some other renowned arcades), every time I launch a specific game at a specific level, a memory flashback of a certain event of the distant history rises in the memory, thus bringing back dialogues, people I met, places visited and many other things. In order to retain the deteriorating memory as fully as possible, I must replay these games again and take down every association that pops up. It always works, so the synthesis of wondrous soundtracks, vivid images and diverse level architecture will help me take down almost every emotion of the past and compile an accurate autobiography.
Ditto, these games and soundtracks act as secondary timeline. Should I ever want to remember what I was doing in my preteens all I have to do is install Crusader: No Remorse or HOMM and play for a few minutes.
This is my favorite track from this game (though Jazz be Damned is a very close second), and still holds up over a decade later. Excellent piece of music right here.
tarde de verano, eres un pequeño sin preocupaciones y llevas a Jazz con esta música de fondo..... no lo sabias pero estabas en un momento al que querras volver el resto de tu vida :')
I just love the music of this game. Did anyone else notice that this is a 2D Platforming shooter containing a musical reference in the title? The same as Rockman (also known as Megaman) and just like Rockman, the music is amazing!
I love this music 💃❤️🤝🤣🤣🤣 ما كنت ألعب اللعبة بس أحب هاذي الموسيقى كتييييير .. أشغلها مشان أسمع الموسيقى 💃 وأرقص When i was young ... I love dancing at this music💃🤣💃
Son: Hey dad, why is my sister named Goldine? Father: Because your mom loved gold. Son: Thanks dad. Father: No problem JJ2 Soundtracks I hope I made your day or at least made you smile :) You are a wonderful person and always shine even brighter! I mean it all. Take care of yourself and soul and heart please :)
dont know why but every time this theme played i always was scared when i was child, like if some kind of ghost would come out the screen and scare me ahahaha
playing my guitar, trying to make a new song suddenly, it sounds familier as fuck, then i realised i played the 2:33 part. 10 years have passed since i played jazz jackrabbit, and i still remember the soundtrack. I AM THE MASTER #SWAG
i hear alot of familiar songs out of many of Jazz jackrabbit 2 music. im sure its all stolen from jazz 2 ! im shocked, however it could also be that the people who made the songs actualy played this game and implimented this game's music with their Carriers without actualy knowing it, because this game is so Epic and Rememorable, its probably the best childhood memmory of many people all around the globe.
+Ryses FTW When you flew on cheats on this level you were teleported to another alternative level which was like a groundhog-day looping level. Pain in the arse haha :D
I've replayed this game recently... what can I say, better than Mario and Sonic in my opinion. And this tune is the best in the entire game... it is EPIC as its title Medieval Jam suggests...
@Aruze1989 It can also quite possibly just be because the songs you heard also were made by Alexandar Brandon who made the music for jazz 2. He for example made the music for unreal tournament, which in many ways sounds a lot similar to some of the jazz 2 songs.
