I highly recommend Kent’s books! I bought them several years ago and refer to them frequently. The content is presented well with excellent examples, exercises, and tunes to demonstrate and help you practice the concepts. The best part is Kent literally has hundreds of great youtube videos also working through almost all of the concepts in the book. The PDF format was very helpful as it allowed me to keep a copy in forScore on my ipad for easy reference.
@@Skizze37 It’s the combination I find so powerful. I read all the regular jazz piano theory books for years and have been following lots of jazz piano content providers - but when I put Kent’s book together with his RU-vid content, I found things that formerly seemed obscure became practical and useful.
