Hey, I have a Jb4 on my f22 N20 engine installed. I don’t have the Bluetooth connector or data cable will changing the maps from the dash enable my tune without doing any updates or using a laptop or phone? Will it still activate the tune?

Yes, you can absolutely use the dash to change the different maps. 👍

So how do you check what the code is with the jb4? My check engine light just popped up after I installed my catless dp and jb4

Do you have the Bluetooth kit? That's how I connect my phone to the jb4. When connected, just click on the "codes" tab on top. Then click "read codes" on the bottom left. It will scan the car and tell you what codes came up. I get the "catless down pipe detected" CEL every time I drive the car.

With the Bluetooth connectivity. Could you bypass the speedo menus and do everything on your phone. I’m old and I can’t remember all those settings.

I have JB4 on my 2015 m235i xdrive and when I press BC, it only changes the mpg options. What am I doing wrong? (Did press and hold?

Press and hold for 2 seconds and you should see the turn signals flash for the exhaust flap control. (2:04 mark in video) Push and hold for 7 seconds.

Hey man do you remember what your afr was when running jb4. I never have issues but it just seems higher than normal. How ling have you ran the jb4 on this car

I've never seen anything crazy rich or lean in any of my logs. I've sent a few to Burger to look at and they said they look fine. Shoot me an email Mikey@thewrenchlab.com and I'll send you one of my old logs that I still have. I haven't had a my issues until very recently, so logged a run in a couple years. 😂

The Wrench Lab , check engine light codes will cleared by using JB4? I still have this vac leak and is not causing the oil catch can, I'm thinking about going back to stock ? Kindly advise thanks.

The Wrench Lab, I already figured it out , there is a leak on the hose by the cold air intake , vac hose I guess ? I put some hard bound clue on it, let see what happen ? If the check engine light code goes on again , it might be another story ? Thanks The Wrench Lab ❤

With the JB4 installed and at stage 1 would you still feel the kick when you switch the car into sport mode?

@@mariovila103Even though the JB4 is active in all modes, I think you'll notice it more in sport+ simply because the way the throttle response and transmission settings are in that mode. Some people that have logged runs in the different drive modes have mentioned their cars ran higher max boost pressures on sport+.

I bought the car and took it drag racing a few days later. At the track I was talking to a guy with a 4 series that was running a JB4. Bought a JB4 before I even left the track that night. Honestly, I hadn't heard about MHD yet. I still don't know much about it. I'm curious now though.

Honestly. I hadn't heard of bm3 yet. I bought the car used, went drag racing a few days later. I was talking to a guy at the track running a 435. He told me about the jb4 . I checked it out online and I ordered it before I even left the track that night. I wasn't very familiar with the tuning aspect of BMW. I'm going to do the mhd back end flash and see what I can run at the track. Then I'll do the bm3 to see what I can run at the track. Battle of the tunes! You tuned yet?

As in doesn't work with the JB4? or doesn't work at all? If it's not JB4 related, have you taken the column or steering wheel off? Could be a connection issue. Does the rest of the stalk work?

So, if you get a catless DP, and get the check engine light, everyone says to get a JB4 to clear the light amongst other things. However, the ONLY way to clear the light is to enable the automatic deletion of error codes? Am I understanding that correctly?

I get the code all the time for the "catless downpipe detected" after installing my Wagner high flow cat. I just delete the code with my jb4. You click on read codes, it shows the code,then delete. Simple. I don't want to auto delete codes because I want to know what every code is, just in case. So every time the CEL lights up, I just read the code with my jb4.

Bro there is a catalytic converter bypass on ebay for $20 lot of good reviews. It's a mini cat extension thing that you put between exhaust and O2sensor. Your car thinks it still has CAT on and doesn't trigger enginr light.
