Here on the channel I'll share videos of BMW maintenance, modifications, and general automotive repair tips and walk throughs.
I'm an experienced Autocross driver, test-n-tune drag racer, and country back road driver. I shoot these videos myself and edit them on my computer with the help of various Adobe programs.
I hope you enjoy my content and feel free to hit me up on social media with any questions, comments, or just to say hello! I will always do my best to get back to you. YOU are the reason I am here.
Mine was unsuccesful is this becaause it was already past the time and millage for the pads? (it jsut wasnt reset when they were put in new ) as theres loads of meat on them.
The day they decided to install this garbage on cars was the beginning of the end. These are the worst possible job you can do on most cars & Noone wants to pay for labor on the tough ones cause they just "pop" in. Useless garbage.
I love your helpful videos, quick question: my valve cover is leaking and my oil pan gasket is leaking. Do you have any videos for this? FYI, have the same year and make I'm at 65,000 miles.
Jeez I just spent an hour trying to reset this with my fancy ass scan tool. Never in a million years would I have thought BMW would make something so simple that your average person could reset.
Haha I didn’t mean it like I think that you’re an idiot, I definitely don’t, more that in my 26 years as a tech, BMW has never been the most DIY friendly. Thanks for the vid!
thank you so much, bro. i was wondering why my M235i headlights turn from blue to near-yellow within 0 seconds when i start the car at night. now im going to buy the same bulbs you have on! thank you!!!!
dude. i have been fighting getting my clubsport wheel to show up on my brand new csl dd + wheel bundle. I wasn't sure if those were spacers to remove or if they were designed to be there because mine didn't fall out like yours did, they seemed almost glued on i had to pop them out. As soon as I did that I realized HOW the QR is supposed to mount, it makes that CLICK with the arm that sticks out and clicks a button inside of the hub... thanks dude. literally nobody else or nothing else said to remove the spacers.
I have a 2018 x3 w m-sport brakes. Is there a special tool needed (ie scanner) to release the rear parking brake in order to release the parking brake before replacing pads?
Not sure if someone can help me, but the measuring oil level computer always shuts out at 15% and goes back to the start measurement screen. Did someone face such issue?
Just found this and thanks brotha for the attention to the details. I will not be paying for labor to have someone do my brakes in the future! I appreciate the effort!
I just tried to get mine to register when trying to update the firmware and couldn't get it to connect! Thatnk you for this! This is the only video on this!
Can't believe I have to watch a video to figure out how to change a cabin filter, but your video was the best I found on how to do it. Now if I was just better at standing on my head to do this . . .🙂
Hi Mike great vid. My Question is can i replace the standard halogen Pass bulb in my E90 to a brighter LED and wire it through a relay and switch to use as spot lights when highway driving. We dont really use the overtake flasher here in Australia, we would normally only use it to warn other drivers of speed cameras etc.Cheers. Loving the Lowndesy/Wincup Holden Shirt.
if you empty the reservoir before starting . . . how much fluid did you extract from each corner before it started coming through clear?? My fluid is pretty much the same colour as that I'm replacing it with and so very difficult to know when I've changed it out as there's no colour change and I want to be sure I've flushed through completely.
A complete flush should be around 12oz or 355mL. My motul bottles are 300mL each and I made sure to use more than that. Years ago, companies used to make different colored fluids, not sure why they stopped, probably some safety related thing like kids drinking drinking it thinking it's kool-aid.
Is it the 4 cylinder? That's located on the front of the engine, right above the big pulley. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rYmmxXFauYo.html
this video helped me find the clip to the exhaust a few years ago. Well that same clip broke and cant remember where i found to buy that help. so I've returned. Thanks again MIkey
superb detailed DIY for brake bleed! have always been leery of pressurized bleed systems as if they leak it can be a mess, especially with brake fluid. This is detailed enough to make it worthwhile
This is useful, I thoguth I needed to take headlights out too and my one parking sensor pushed in so I just put double sided tape for now, Hoepfully it holds but if not I’ll have to take the bumper off slightly so I can reach my hand in and get it on better
Excellent job and perfect video angle. Just like anyone would expect. How come other people do not lube up anything at all? And, I am wondering if this is not too much lubricant, since the brakes heat up and may be the lub starts droping or creaping over the brake rotor or inside the brake pads. What is your opinion on that? I am not a professional.
I seem to recall a previous (pretty old) brake replacement video you did. Or maybe just a brake pad recommendation. Am I correct? If so, what was your previous brake pad recommendation. I'm looking for some pads with solid stopping power but less (much less) dusty than my BMW OE pads. Thank you!
