JBA Bentley | Mill Fleam Pumping Station | Climate Resilient Places 

The City of Derby has historically suffered severe flooding. To address this, JBA Bentley were appointed to design and build a new 4500 l/s defence pumping station, known as Mill Fleam Pumping Station.
The £8m project, delivered on behalf of Derby City Council, needed to be designed, constructed and commissioned within 15 months to achieve compliance and secure all funding streams. Our solution ultimately provides heightened flood protection to over 250 commercial properties and businesses in additional to critical infrastructure around the city centre.
