Rome was not built in a day and nor will the new Ashville yard. We have had to adapt our original grand plan due to circumstances beyond our control. However, we have new proposed plans which are not as glamorous, but will serve our immediate needs.

I did a project where I upgraded transformer from 1000 to 1500 kVA. Daniel you need to be aware how important your electricity meter is! I can’t stress this enough. SSEN will not energise your connection until you have correct meter installed. This nearly caused me major headache, make sure you plan for this!

Patience Daniel Patience!! Get the new yard operational, get money coming in and do your yard like a puzzle, area by area. It's so inspirational to see a business evolve. I'm just a class 1 truck driver but it's so cool to see it all. Hoihoi Daniel, I highly recommend that you keep that diesel generator as faaar as possible from the offices!!! The noise and the fumes will wear the guys down in minutes!!! I was moving house last week, and a small diesel generator was about 5m from the van that I was loading with my stuff... I had enough of the noise and the fumes after 15 minutes... It is really distracting!!! Please reconsider it's placement!!!

It was obvious that given the 6 month overlap from the new lease starting and the existing one ending a fully finished yard was out of the question. So much of the work and decisions are down to third parties and that's after all the design, planning and applications have been finalised let alone financing the whole thing.

True ....Daniel has to move into this new yard by the end of July and everything he has planned for this new yard would take him atleast a 2 years to implement if money wasn't the issue and Ashville had the funds for it

Daniel, im a dairy farmer. similar situation, cashflows arent adding up at the minute, built a new site, commited to buying another site. Can all get a bit much, but like you said treading water aint the same as drowing. Hang in there we got this!

Often going slower is quicker because you have more time to think and plan rather than wish you’d done things differently later on. It will most likely be a blessing looking back in 2 years. Either way the new yard will be far better to operate out of when it’s done

The new plan looks great. It keeps open all your options that you had planned and allows Ashville to stay in business at the same time. This will keep everything flexible allowing Ashville to meet any requirements now and to keep building for the future. Curious on who came up with this solution.

What you can do is to place al your electric infra structure like you have to do for the company who is going to connect it. place al your facilities on the new yard as it should. the solution: look for another diesel aggregate and connect there to your electric system. Run the diesel aggregate until you have the finance to realize the connection. in the meantime you can use your other funds for something else what generates income. And while your income is paying for the diesel fuel and becoming a savings amount you will benefit from it. Good luck wit this advice.👍💪
