I purchased a charge 5 for use at work and my workspace is open and it is excellent. It totally exceeded my expectations. I have the Flip 5, B and O A1 gen2, Bose Flex and Portable Speaker, and the Bose Mini II. They are all excellent speakers but they are meant for enclosed spaces therefore a prodigious amount of sound from them are not produced. The Charge 5 on the other hand produces a staggering amount of superb quality sound. It is truly an amazing speaker that I can find zero faults with. It is not a bass head speaker but delivers equal amounts of all the instruments excellently and it is somewhat spacious because it does slightly separate the instruments. The battery doesn't drain at a rapid amount no matter how hard it is pushed and lasts my entire shift. The Charge 5 has totally crushed my expectations and I am happy that I bought it. If you are in the market for a Bluetooth speaker I highly recommend the Charge 5 because it is totally awesome.
I been doing some research on my next speaker as mine is getting old and Charge 5 def cought my eye and always hear best reviews on it how happy people are with it so I think Chrage 5 will be my next buy, kinda wanna get it for new year and test at mates for new year house party 😂
@@DarkAngel-vs3om i have charge 3. All i can say its good speaker, very strong bass but not over too much. Great for movies etc. If i have to buy jbl speaker again i Would buy charge
@@monkas1712 I been testing my Charge 5 for few weeks and I can confirm sound is amazing for new year full blast amazing sound and base and option on phone to control awesome :) only thing I’m not sure about battery life they claim I think it’s not shorter than over 20h or so I guess it depends on volume you use it on
Yes indeed. Amazing and good quality sounding bluetooth speaker. Charge 5 is the most balance speaker and very clear vocals and mids. Just hoping it still have mics
I plan on getting a boombox 2. My current jbl is a flip 5. My taste is mainly for punchy bass, but crisp treble, and I really do think the boombox 2 seems to fits my tastes the best.
Amazing speaker Boombox3. But if you're under budget and if you're able to get boombox2 under 350USD it's a steal. Because I'm using charge4 at the moment and it's great. Im planning to get both Boombox2 and Boombox3. But my target is Boombox2 for now

@@Javier03Li bought mine last week and i was definitely impressed and the sound quality is just great. very nice item. I was considering the JBL Extreme 3 for my Lesmills Grit session but the charge 5 is definitely loud enough! and i don't even push it to half volume!
I mean as a boombox 2 and 3 owner and the charge 5 they sound REALLY GOOD I can get a whole day on full volume when I'm on my boat and it's really loud

@@mynameisfan nice! I was looking at the new extreme 3 but honestly the charge 5 and extreme 3 are so similar. With the charge 5 you also get longer battery life & it's abit cheaper. Might just pull the trigger on the charge 5.
I got 19 hours on my charge 5 at 50% volume and it’s just over a year old and surprisingly i got the same result on my xtreme 3 which is about two months old
So when a speaker has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!
I normally put the speakers in check-in baggage and nobody ever asked anything about it. I travel fairly frequently. But if it is cabin baggage then I doubt whether it is allowed or not.
how is the song called that you used in the partyboost test and sound tests plus i have an xtreme 3 that is being fixed now but if it doesnt i get my money back should i buy a boombox 2 or not
Boombox if you can still get one. It’s 40w compared to 25w making it able to amplify the sound by around a little less than double the Xtreme. (For vehicular replacement away from the gander of speakers; I’d say it’d go pretty well, and the charge time is 24 hours which makes it the longest lasting of the lot.)
Hi How good is the Flip6 in terms of software and connectivity? Can the music play all day without any issue? It gets firmware updates but I’ve read some comments about issues with the battery, too many issues with Bluetooth connectivity and bad firmware updates that damage the speakers, seeing many reviews on Amazon, it seems that many units get faulty and there is nothing that can be done to fix it. I’m having similar issues with my Sonos Roam, after performing an update, it became so unreliable and unstable, rear button not working properly, and music cutting out using Bluetooth. I don’t know how to make a clean firmware installation because it ruined the device, never the less, Sonos is offering me a replacement. Is it worth buying a JBL Flip6 speaker? I could rely on Good reviews but I don’t really want to waste my money
Only one or two models support AAC, the rest just the basic SBC. So yeah, no thanks. Will rather spend on BT speakers that support, AAC, LDAC, aptX and aptX HD.
Clearly, your idea of portable is completely different than the rest of the world. I have AJBL party box 300 that is portable. I mean unless we are talking 8 years old.and under.
Fr my own experience with JBL, it's not built to last. Bought 200+ bux JBL UA earphone, battery died, rubber came off, cable 1 sided sound within 1 yr JBL flip 4 and 5, battery died within 1year plus, rubber on speaker damaged making horrible sound All in all I won't buy JBL again, sound is ok but there are better ones out there. quality is cheapo I have UE speakers 5years on, battery strong, sound strong, sounds better too
my neighbour got a charge 5, however, I found another interesting one, which is a little bit cheaper than charge 5, called WildCamping, which is a speaker and camping lantern, around $130, sound is as good as charge 5
