JBL CHARGE 5 ND VS TL - After Update 0.7.4 "MORE BASS!?" 

As the speakers located differently against the microphone, e.g. TLs twitter is closer, viewers can’t judge adequately the difference.

Ok. Now I'm positive. The Tomorrowland ND is different from the "regular" ND that was shown in the previous videos. The original ND did in fact have the larger driver and the TL had the slightly smaller one. Its all about excursion. The speaker that travels more up and down will have more thumpy bass. Being that the tomorrowland ND in this video is more narrow and deeper than the TL, which was just the opposite in the previous videos, there will be more bass and clarity. See the material that the driver cone is made from makes a huge difference also. For the longest time speakers have been made of "paper". More like pulp and other stuff. Paper will carry the mids and highs, up to about 8 khz, very well. Whereas the driver cones made from "plastic", polypropylene, will sound better on the lower sounds. It almost had a "canny" sound if not done meticulously. Plastic is also much cheaper. China-plastic cones, vietnam- paper cones. As i stated in a previous comment most of the charge 5s if not all are made in vietnam. That would be why the "newer" NDs such ad the tomorrowland here has the more narrow and deeper PAPER driver. But my question is, how did the TL in this video end up with the same driver as the ND in the previous videos? Is this TL made in china? Just look under the rubber plug on the body of the speaker. Where the ports are. You may need to take a picture and then zoom in to see it. Not on the rubber plug itself but right under the usb port.

I played it safe and got one ND, one TT and one NT. Listened to them all individually. I ended up with 2 NT models. The sound is AMAZING. I can put the 2 anywhere i want in order to make them sound balanced. I'll tell you right now that I could swear that there is center speaker! I invited a friend over and he said the same thing. Where is the other speaker in the middle? It has to do with the Digital Signal Processing. These speakers use a BS bluetooth codec, code-decode, and it still sounds clean and balanced with plenty of bass. Also the latency is not THAT bad. Thats when the people speak on the screen and the words come out later from the speakers. Its noticable if you look for it but again, not bad. As far as the ND being better, the ND version WAS made in China. Now pretty much all versions are from vietnam. Just look at the writing on the soeaker when you open the waterproofing rubber cap where the usb and charging port is. NOT on the rubber plug. Next to the ports. You may want to take a picture then zoom in. It doesn't say where the speaker is made on the box. Jbl headquarters is in the USA but thats not where the charge 5s are made.

ND sounded best for my reason for buying. Bought a Charge 5 Tomorrowland, it’s ND, it’s for my sis for Xmas and she likes dance and drum and bass etc. She’s not going to fiddle with EQs so the Charge 5 seemed a good option for straight out of the box and play. Got it for £120 while the Flip 6 at the same place is £130 and even all the other Charges from the same store were £170-160. I was a bit concerned why cheaper? it’s a black Charge 5 like the other black Charge 5 that’s on there for £160. But everything seems to be the same, looks better with the gold too, and it’s a ND which suits. All good.

I just receive my charge 5 ND model and i love it, its build like a tank and great sound. I didn't try the TL model yet, hope maybe i will get 1 more charge 5 TL for partyboost with squad color it so georgeus and like intimidating 😂. Like your comparison bro 👍 keep the good work.

My second ND: grey for the first one and now the black model. In France's Super U shop there is a amazing price: 119 EUR Very good sound with my music, equalizer settings: bass 2 mid 0 treble 0 Really impressive ND model, but i don't listen the others...

I like my TL more than the ND, call really tell the bass is different from each other, but treble is definitely brighter with TL
