See and I never understood commercials for TVs because they're showing you the sharpest newest display... but you're seeing it on your old TV? Now I get it xD
Bro forreal like I don’t care about all of the features and the “carabiner clip” like I can read all that on their website dawg. I just watched another review before this one where the dude didn’t do a sound test at all like why even bother making a review on a SPEAKER lil dummy RU-vidrs mane I swear😂😂
I feel like the clip 4 is only a good value for a very specific use case - needing to have something with a carabiner. If you want a basic JBL speaker, get the GO3 (cheaper, not far off in power), if you want to step up to properly better sound , get a FLIP 5 (more powerful, better sounding)
Great review! Not surprised there is no daisy chain or pairing like the Clip 2 can do. Also, no speakerphone like the Clip 1,2, and 3 has. The loss of the 3.5mm jack is not a deal-breaker for me and I do like the USB-C charging. Definitely sounds better. JBL tweaks the sound better with new models but takes away features. I plan to get one when the price drops.
The JBL clip 4 is a truly amazing speaker I love it! Because it pushes forward the sound quality is crystal clear is worth to upgrade to clip 3 am sure it's same thing with a extreme 3 pulse 4 and flip 5 JBL makes something big bold logo of there's speaker aslo upcoming JBL charge 5 looking forward of these speakers in 2021.
For nearly anything outdoors, the clip 4 is well worth it's price. I've had mine for maybe 6 months now and I love it. Is use it while fishing and at work. Great product
Would you think it would be cool on my mini bike? (I have a short video in my channel to see) I just wanna play music when I ride the streets (rather than using my airpods with my helmet)
I will have to grab this little speaker. Its to bad that it won't work for phone calls. However, It sounds perfect if I need to listen to audio books, or watch described movies. It sounds as if it would work with voice over on my iPhone 13 pro max as well. Thanks for the sound comparison.
Just bought one yesterday off BackMarket for $43 bucks total price. Can't wait to use it at work! (Update: Order never was confirmed so I just canceled the order and last week I bought the Flip 6 for 107 after taxes and so far it's great, things happen for a reason ig lol)
this is a very very *good thorough* review ... specially the part where you brought out and compared the Clip 4 to the past models and did the sound tests. personally I thought the Clip 2 sounded the best even if it was abit quite-er as it hit the sweet middle spot between clip 3 (to much trebble) and clip 4 (to much bass)
Hey, great video. I was wondering if you'd pick the JBL Clip 4 over the Sony SRS XB23? I have the Sony and I'm happy with the sound quality but hate the battery life and portability. Would it be worth my money to pick up the Clip 4? Is the sound quality comparable? Thanks.
Im only getting 6 to 7 hrs...on loud none stop...the off button is too sensative hitting it and i dont like the pause when using my phone to turn up the volume...but the sound you get from it is on point...it hits pretty good.....its worth it...there should be a qck double tap on power button.. if you clip it to your body and hit power / or some times bluetooth button on your body it might stop ..but still sounds good...
In any comparison the louder speaker will appear to sound better (because it's louder). For a fair comparison adjust playback level to be the same for each speaker.
Though owning speakers from both companies I do think that JBL ones sound better than the Sony ones (though they both sound very good compared to cheaper made speakers in general). Thew bass response on the Clip 4 is much better.
Thank you for the video. I found that the on/off button is way too sensitive. Walking with the speaker clipped to a back pack will result in the speaker being accidentally turned off. 50% of the grip strips on the back side have fallen off. I do miss the capability of accepting a 1/8 mic jack. The speaker does sound great, the battery life is wonderful and the new charging port is more convenient.
I really love my flip 5 but this one might be just perfect for travels due to size while flip takes a bit of space in a small backpack. I take flip for travels so far so good
The flips are bigger and have more loud to clips, more like for big parties or event but I like my flip 4 cause it has a wrist lace to hold and since I like loud music it make my bike ride feel motivated
I'm glad it sounds louder cause the clip 3 didn't sound bad at all but the main reason I'm interested in the 'clip' is because of just that the CLIP it prevents me from losing it or getting it stolen! Yea I can get a flip 5,4 but where am i supposed to hold it when I'm out and about? My A...
Can you still use Samsung dual audio to send the same audio through multiple speakers using the Clip 4? Or would that be prevented by any upgrade by JBL?
I'm thinking about getting this to compliment my JBL Charge 5 speaker at work. I can use the clip when I'm moving around a lot and the Charge 5 for my work station.
Just got the Clip4 and already had the Clip3. Only 2 things better with the Clip4. 1) and probably most important, the sound is better and a little louder too. 2) the clip can open slightly more, but still both are pretty limited. Things that I think got worse with the Clip4 1) no rubber backing/protection on the inside of the clip like the Clip3 has 2) the rubber on the bottom that it lays on is not close to being as slip resistant as the rubber on the bottom on the Clip3 3) overall doesn't feel as beefy/sturdy as the Clip3 4) with the new shape, it would have been nice if they made it be able to stand up when you set it down.
I paired a JBL Clip4 with an Apple iWatch Ultra and I can listen to music without the use of an iPhone (WAN or eSIM). However, I cannot hear audio from the Clip4 during phone calls. I am aware that the Clip4 does not have a built-in microphone anymore. I am using the iWatch mic during calls, but I want to hear audio via a waterproof Bluetooth speaker under some noisy conditions. Audio can be routed from the iWatch Ultra to a SONY SRS-XB43. Why doesn't the Clip4 work in a similar way? Any suggestions about how to fix this issue?
I just bought this on the target website I haven’t gone to pick it up yet but I’m just wondering how everyone who already owns one likes it. I was gonna buy the Bose but I decided to be cheap! 😬🤷🏻♀️ USB-C? Is that an Apple charger?
awesome videos keep up the great work. I have a question for you. I'm looking for a small speaker that I can carry around with me and also besides music listen to videos RU-vid videos podcast. Also use on my bike. Would this be the best all-in-one little speaker do you think? Also I think $70 is too much money recently it was 50 and I didn't grab it darn it. What are your thoughts? Also I think you said there is no latency with videos and RU-vid stuff right? Ray
Hi there, I just got the clip 4. Never had anything like that before so I wonder what is the best way to take care of the battery when using it. How long do I have to charge it? If I listen to the music when it’s plugged is that better vs unplugged? Would appreciate any information, thank you 🙏
Good Question 😊 I've had many clip 1s, 2s & 3s... You do not have to do anything... Just use it as much as you want & enjoy it... I've used it until battery completely drains... I've used it while charging... I've not noticed any ' NEGATIVE ' issues with any of my Clip's battery lives... It makes sense to charge while listening if you think you'll be away from power source to charge it... Whenever I finish walking, hiking I charge it in car.... When I'm cycling, I have portable battery power bank I used to charge Clips on extended rides ( 3, 4 or more hours )... Sometimes I'll be on bike in one day for 7 hrs pedalling ( 9 to 10 hrs total: couple hours chilling, relaxing, eating ) Some of my walks & hikes are 5 to 7 hrs... It's nice to have music coming from speakers so can also hear noises around me on trails & especially in traffic while cycling )... I also purchased ' No Questions Asked Return Policy ' If anything goes wrong, just take it to any retail franchise bought it from & they give me a completely new one... Highly Recommend Warranty like that...
@@tsuquisukman5782 You can also use it in shower if happen to want to listen to music, lectures, zoom meetings, etc... while getting ready... If it gets to dusty or dirty, just rinse it under sink...
Great review! Can you pair another Clip 4 at least? The Clip 2's are great in that they can stand-alone pair together on their own (max of 2). Unfortunately not stereo, but amplifies the sound and they sound pretty good that way. Their batteries are starting to degrade, so was thinking about upgrading. Was hoping the Clip 4 could pair up with another and be in stereo at least. Seems like a downgrade if you're limited to just 1.
They can be paired together. But if ur looking to pair speakers ur better off getting a big one and doing a one time purchase rather than buying two of these mini ones.
Bought it for work, buttons are sensitive the speaker turns off every time i move around. Gets annoying real quick. Have it clipped to my pants around the waist
Bruh, why buy this when you could also buy for example an Anker Soundcore Motion + for the same price. And if it needs to be such a small speaker and the price doesn't matter, than I would get the equivalent from Bang and Olufson which also sounds way better...
I hope the clip is better on the 4 than on the 3 because it broke on my 3. Multiple times I would be running and the speaker would unclip and fall on the ground.
My Clip 4 just arrived and when I turn the volume to the max the music stops for a fraction of a second, there is a little noise, and then resumes. Is that normal?
@@Cdubp01 I spoke to JBL and they said it should not do it, so I will return it. With my iphone 12 it does it all the time, with iphone 8 not always so I don’t think it is a built in warning
@Matty Viper So you do realize not everyone has wireless audio players. Some people still have ipods and the functionality of a jack is necessary to them.
man i'd buy this in an instant if this thing wasn't so blatant about its branding. the minimalism in the Clip 3 was the look they should have kept the Clip 4 is UGLY af
