JBL uses a special design they call "Plus One" for their woofer cone, extending the cone closer to the surround for more surface area. This leads to better low-frequency response, and the surrounds are made of rubber for durability and accuracy. A dome tweeter maintains high-frequency detail.

I have a set but do I need to run wires through my dash? My tweeters are on the dash

The wiring does need to be installed so the tweeter and the woofer can connect to the crossover. That does typically mean new wire must be ran from one or even both drivers so the crossover can connect to them.

What are the main difference between the JBL club speakers and the JBL concert speakers?

The Club generally offers higher power-handling if you wanted to power them with an aftermarket amp, and the tweeter uses a silk (edge-driven) dome for smoother highs.

I recently purchased 2 sets of jbl component speakers jbl 609c.. for front and rear of my car ...What amp do i need for these 2 set of speakers ..I have four 6.5 90 rms each .. 3ohm each ....

The 601c’s dont seem to come with a crossover, is it internal or something?

The 601C component system does include separate crossovers.

This will be my first installation, replacing the factory speakers. Is it recommended or required to use the external crossover component? If so where does it go?

@@BiffKing if its a set of speakers and tweeters you will need to use the crossover, I tried it without it and it sounded terrible, I just wrapped it in foam to stop rattling noise and put it behind some trim - dont leave it in the door panel as it will get wet and rust super fast

I have installed rockford prime components on front speakers..What will be your suggestion for rear doors..They are all 6inches.i need more bass from speakers but not interested in sub because mine is new car under warranty..My stock speaker is dual cone speaker and giving good bass now..The stock head unit is by Harman..

I have an iDoing head unit in my car, and I was looking at these speakers. According to the spec sheet for the head unit, this is what it takes: High output power capability: - 4 x 50 W/4 ohms max. - 4 x 30 W/4 ohms @ 14.4 V, 1 kHz, 10% - 4 x 80 W/2 ohms max. - 4 x 55 W/2 ohms @ 14.4V, 1 kHz, 10% Does that mean my head unit has an impedance range of 2-4 ohms? Will these speakers be a good match for that head unit, or do you think I should exchange my speakers for 4-ohm ones? (sorry, I'm a bit new at this stuff, so I'm still learning. I wanna make sure I don't blow my head unit out lol)

Hey! These speakers would be matched to the 4-ohm ratings so you'd be set either way. We don't carry iDoing; but listing the 2-ohm specs seems to imply they are 2-ohm stable. Are you looking to add the JBLs to a specific vehicle?

@@crutchfield Actually I just finished installing them in my car last night (a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV). They sound pretty good! They sure pack a punch, too. Wayyyyy more bass than I will ever need. Lol. Next thing I have to do (because I literally just learned about this last night/today, this is my first time ever installing car speakers so I'm still learning as I go) is add the sound foam/seal so it carries into the actual car and not aimlessly inside the door.

JBL Loudspeakers are built for home and PA setups as shown here: www.jbl.com/loudspeakers/ The Concert Series that's covered in this video are designed for vehicle applications.
