Yep, had to get one of these after dealing with the cheap $20 ones. Either the batteries went bad or the speakers blew out. This one seems to be of much better quality, both sound wise and with reliability.

Great speaker for small applications but still gets pretty loud. Nice sound and decent bass which is enhanced by placement. Extremely portable and light. Fits in a cargo pocket. Good review as usual.

I think jbl is just dominating the portable Bluetooth speaker market. Ue got a lot of attention, but jbl products are cheaper and sound better.

WORD!! Just watch clavinetjunkies videos related to that topic. He is a professional audio engineer, and likes to do very detailed comparisons of popular BT-speakers. In addition to shooting his videos in first person view with HQ binaural microphones, he also does frequency response measurements to see how (un-)balanced the speakers are adjusted sound-wise. It's amazing how all of the UE speakers he reviewed, always failed miserably when compared to much cheaper JBL products!!

You know Floss, the only problem I got with JBL is that there aren't any easy ways to mount and play on my bike. JBL stuff always sounds good, I've owned a couple of JBL Bluetooth speakers and recommend them to friends all the time. But for myself, I've stopped using them specifically because I can't use them while cycling. And I spend quite a bit of time on my bike as I commute and play Ingress from my bike. what would be dope, is if you did a comparison for the best speakers with bicycle mounts. That would be awesome. Maybe even the best handlebar phone mounts as well.

Y'all Flip 3 users theres a Low Freuqency mode if you both hold Bluetooth connect and volume Down for 5 secs the Low Frequency will turn on

Love all your videos! Quick question which is better for the money the charge 3 or flip 3? Is it worth spending the extra for the charge? Is it that much louder? floss you should check out the altec lansing omni jacket ultra. It everything proof, has 50 hour battery life and mic for handsfree calls. ive seen it at best buy and it sounds pretty good

I bought a Flip 3 and it's good but the Charge 3 is just that much better especially when it's paired with the Xtreme. I just wish with JBL Connect, you could pair more than 2 but you can't so sold it for the Charge 3
