Can’t decide. I Ukraine difference in prices so miserable: 10 dollars. So should I buy flip 5 for 132 dollars or flip 4 for 122. Which of them worth that price more from side of the sound quality.!?
I started using Charge 2 more than 5 years ago and love the JBL sound, I like stero and more clear sound at high and mid, and buy Flip 4 after comparing with Flip 5 in last week
Billy Leung Same I bought the Flip 4. The Flip 4 had good bass and more clearer sound. Why would I buy a Flip 5 for more when all it has is a tiny bit more bass, less clearer, and less features.

Seems like the Flip 5 is a major step down / backwards from the Flip 4. 1) No aux / 3.5 input port 2) No speaker phone capability as it has no mic ( !!? ) 3) No Bluetooth 5.0 ! 4) Exposed micro-usb charging port... waterproof? 5) One driver, so mono sound. The Flip 4 has dual driver stereo. I wouldn't touch the Flip 5... nor should you.
3.5 audio jack, mic, bluetooth 5.0 isnt even a big deal nowadays lmao... Then dont buy the new flip 6 either lol I recommend the flip 5 and 6 since they sound similar while the flip 4 sounds weak considering of these two 8watts drivers ... Even waterproof Phone's charger are exposed and usb type c is a big deal lmao
I got the jbl flip 5 but I had to return it cos it has no 3.5 ml wire audio input. I'm so sad. Broke my heart. I loved the sound now I have to get a flip 4😫
I personally dont see a reason to use the audio cable.. i have home speakers for the tv and computer.. if you have bluetooth then use it.. thats why its called a "bluetooth speaker"
I'm in doubt between flip 4 and flip 5. I've seen many reports that the flip 4 after a year of use, the batery simply stops working. I'm afraid to buy flip 4 because of this, is it better to invest a little more money to buy flip 5? (which I believe won't have this same problem). ( If there are any errors in the text, I'm sorry, I do not speak English)
@@MaxDalton instrument and vocal separation. I have the very "small" JBL Go 2 and... that thing is a beast for a small speaker! But it produces mono sound and it's noticeable in the songs that I've been listening to for years.
@@GeorgeGiann I am a pro musician. If you take two hi end studio monitors and put them at less than 1.5 meters distance you will strugle to hear any decent stereo separation. There is a lot of technical and hardware requirements to get a stereo sound. All this talk about stereo in a 20 centimeter box with tiny drivers ( and probably without any functional crossover) is beyond ridiculous. What you do hear in Go 2 is the same what I hear in my Go 3.....tiny box. Mono or stereo has nothing to do with it. After Go 3 when I connect to Flip 5 (still mono) Flip sounds like symphony orchestra is around me ;)
Standalone I would have to say Flip 4 if you want a crisper mids/highs .. As for the Flip 5 slightly more bass but seems kinda muddy with less audio separation
Thank you very much. Dang, the flip 4 sounds like 50 extra bucks in my pocket(flip 4 is on sale for $59 right now) with pretty much the same sound... Big disappointment that the flip 5 doesn’t connect with older JBL models. I am feeling pretty set on the flip 4.
so i recently started my youtube channel doing bass test of jbl speakers and stuff because they are easy and can get a lot of views, but i want a speaker that can connect to others, but i love the passive radiator and single woofer on flip 5, its all really down to which one has more excursion on the passive radiators, if you cant help me i understand because you don't push your speakers to play at max volume lfm, i have a s10e so i can connect them together even without connect plus but it lowers the volume when you do, so if you could help me that would be great
I'd be happy to go with the Flip 5 if it was Stereo. Really cool. But sadly it has only one speaker. Maybe next time with the Flip 6. Both are really good, but the Flip 4 is better for me for it's stereo. But nothing other reason. I don't need 3,5 Jack, Bluetooth 5.0 etc. Just a good, not too expensive, but great *stereo* speaker.
These speakers are not inherently stereo in their singularity, its more of a marketing thing. You need two (2) of the same speaker AND the jbl connect app in order to use stereo capability.
The Flip 5 is not worth it... For me and so many other's we're fustraded with JBL for not making them stereo pairable... That's a major problem... What I did was instead of spending $99 for the flip 5. I bought 2 flip 4 at ($60) each.. But be smart in doing so Amazon and eBay have several flip 4 (JBL) refebished at $60 including shipping.. They look brand new... I called JBL and they said they have a lot of inventory when customer's bought it and return them mainly cause the flip 5 is now available... So theses are basically brand-new at $60 each.. So for $20 More get (2)) Flip 4's and listen to them in stereo mode.. It's 1,000 % better !!! Also the flip 4 has the mic in them... Jbl dropped the ball with not including the stereo and mic set up..... Good luck and be smart with your dollars..
why is sterio a big deal? this arent headphones lmao... And This is one speaker .. you wont even notice the sterio sound unless you point your ears close to the speaker
Casi no hay mejoras en cuanto a sonido, solo un poquito de más bajo pero carece de frecuencias medias que dan presencia al sonido. Y se han equivocado en quitar el Jack 3.5 y en No poder conectarse con los flip 4,3 ó chargue.. pero en fin por el mismo dinero para los que no tienen deberían comprarlo, yo tengo el flip4 y me siento feliz. This isn't anything I've ever had to deal with, but hopefully someone in the community sees this and can help you. I know you can, but I think it makes it more prone to water damage.

F5 приятно слушать, она не режет ухо, приятное качественное звучание. F4 ущерб и позор серии flip, просто ущербная колонка, фу, слушать не приятно соболезную тем кто купил flip 4
