Got mine, 3 months ago. This is the best dock ever, I try the zeppelin air, not impressed. Try the Bose, good sound, not enough base. Then I try the jbl xtreme. WOW. The sound quality and how loud it goes. I packed up my 5.1 pioneer home theatre. I going to use my xtreme for everything. This dock is so powerful. I'm in awe.

JBL sent me this to replace a DOA refurb On Air I bought from them, and I fucken LOVE this thing. It works perfectly with my android phone as an alarm clock. The power-saving feature makes it extremely valuable for listening while going to sleep, too. And of course, this thing can shake the walls. Highly recommended.

IT buzzes loud if the iphone is charged fully and still attached to the docking station. It switches off on bluetooth and wont wake again if you dont listen for 10 minutes, and the ipad doesnt fit in the dock, and if you do put it in it breaks the 30 pin charger because it needs a lightning adaptor. great sound, totally badly adapted to Apple devices

Does this have a built in battery? You mention when speaking about the AC input that it's used for charging.

Hi.. How does it compare to the newer JBL Onbeat Rumble. Unfortunately that one doesn't come with a remote and has an amplified output of 50w compared to a total output of 120w for onBeat Xtreme. Thanks.

which one would you buy @chrissvoss... onbeat xtreme or onbeat venue, in fact i mean which one sounds better ? from the size both have ,i would suggest the xtreme is much more better than the venue...

wow i was not expecting such fast reply...thanks....someone told me that without app i cant use this speaker and they dont have any app for macbook pro? also can you suggest any other speaker which can be as good as this in same price range ?

I have an iPod Touch and a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I would like to buy this, but I actually use my Note 2 to listen to music or the iPod. Using this to play music with the Note 2 worth the price ? It works well ? I mean, using the bluetooth, that I assume is the only way to play music with my Galaxy Note 2, will it sound really good ?

I got mine this friday. While the jbl sounds great, i do get hiccups via bluetooth streaming. And im only like 5 meters aways from the system. If i play a song right now, i can olmost guarantee that there will be at least 1 hiccup in the first song i play. Did u experiende the same with ur jbl xtreme? Please let me know, cause if yours didnt have 1 hiccup at all, than i guess i should replacr mine or something. I stream it via bluetootg on my iphone 4s. Thanks in advancr

Considering you are reviewing an audio product and have your own review web page I am amazed by the lack if care and shear amateurism. Using good quality microphones and not talking over the music (or using separate mic/feed) and placing your ONE source of light in such way that it reflects right onto the screen of the iPad....just to name a few screw ups. Not knowing what the "music" and "phone" buttons do is just sad. Sorry for trolling, but seen YT clips made by teenagers who did much better.
