Just having fixed this machine: here's a repair tip. With age these boxes fail, and only make a soft clicking sound. This is caused by an over active protection circuit from the R2A15108SP amplifier chip(s). The cure is to carefully solder a 2.2uF cap between the R792 (end of the PCB, solder the end towards the heatsink) and ground. There is a ground plane nearly, scrape off the varnish and solder directly to it. This then 'calms down' the protection and allows it to work properly once more. Enjoy!
Есть аппарат с аналогичной проблемой. Только щелчки в правом канале, а в левом тишина. Щелчки представляют собой кратковременные включения усилителя и моментальные выключения. Решение в виде конденсатора на R792 проблему не решило. R792 это перемычка между 48 ногой микросхемы левого канала и выходом управления защиты с STM32. У правого канала свой Резистор. Проблема частично решилась заменой 4 конденсаторов 50Вх10мк, звук присутствует во всех 4 выходах усилителей, но при выключении из сети или переводе в режим пониженного энергопотребления с отключением усилителя, происходит мощный щелчок в вч-динамике левого канала. Пока в раздумьях что делать. В городе-миллионнике эти вещи боятся даже в ремонт брать.
@@qrazqraz5411 I first replaced the main caps, as they were bulging. Then I replaced those 10uF caps also ;). I looked with an oscilloscope at all 2 x 4 = 8 outputs of the chips, and for me they all looked perfect, until the protection clicked in, every second.. Then I started experimenting with slowing down the protection: but it still cut out. It was then that I discovered that if I used amn extra capacitor to remove the noise from the protection line, it cured the problem. It still works :) In my experience the protection is linked between the amplifiers: but there are 2 lines: 49 offset and 48 protection, so perhaps on yours there is a different trigger? As you have a power-on click, I would carefully examine the biggest capacitors for signs of bulging / leaking: Mine were at the end of their life. Good luck :)
que tal brandon espero estes bien, tengo un problema con el equipo, al conectarse via bluetooth hace un ruido de gis y no se le quita ni al bajar el volumen, puedes orientarme para saber como quitar ese ruido, sabes si se puede dar reset al aparato. y si sabes donde se pueden comprar accesorios pues se le rompio una patita al porta ipad, o como cambiar el conector de 30 a ligthing. gracias por la ayuda. saludos.
shame jbl stopped producing those speaker. never found something better or equal to this! question what do i have to replace when bass is making cracking sounds? i saw speaker foam on ebay. does that the trick? or do i have to replace the speakers?

I agree. I have one with a left driver thst distorts (bass) at higher volume and one that just clicks when turned on. UK JBL specialist can't repair them. Shame because they have a special sound.
Mine too had the same problem. At first it had the issue within one year of the purchase it was repaired under warranty. Now it has come back and JBL here in UAE said they don’t repair these anymore. They haven’t made any speakers close to this ever since.
@@shijotg i went with JBL Boombox3 its the best and most similar to the xtreme. very powerfull sound and bass. i can watch movies with this and it sounds awesome!

Si tu problema es solamente la suspensión rota, es mejor que compres la pura suspensión en ali, si la bocina esta quemada, no salen mal esas bocinas, andan sonando casi casi igual
