I’m honestly surprised the Bose isn’t using microUSB. They held on to that standard like it was their right. They still sell products that use microUSB
It's about if you like or not. But for versatility I think extreme 4 is a better choice. For me it will be a nice upgrade from the extreme 2 that I have actually.
Thankyou for clarifying my days of confusion and unnecessary wait on the Bose sl max, but I had narrowed it down to these two and now I know which one to buy - JBL obviously…thanks gym caddy
“Yeah Bose sounds better” also gym caddy adding eq to the Bose and leaveing Jbl on stock I understand I see why you try to give Jbl a advnage but that’s just no fair for Jbl
The bose is absolute wonderful sound in person. No EQ adjustment necessary. Woulda been more reasonable to price at maybe 300$-330$. But no denying in person its a great sounding speaker for all genres. Just expensive. If ur a bose fan and u can afford it u wont be dissapointed. If u were never a bose fan to begin with then of course it too overpriced and u will expect too much for 400$. In this case ur paying for build quality and sound. And the value in the name.
@@donjuandemarco4115 what? U can resale BOSE products u own and still get back a fairly good amount of MONEY. People still sale the soundlink 3 online for over 300$. Try to resale a cheap speaker like SOUNdcore or tribit and see how much u get BACK. People out there will STILL pay good money for old bose products that are no longer made. Just BECAUSE it's "BOSE. So yes there's value in the name.
Their best product for portable Bluetooth speakers is the Soundlink Flex. I purchased 2 of while on sale at BestBuy for $99 each and they sound fantastic for half the price of the Max.
I will need to compare them myself in the shop. I like Bose. Bought the Bose acoustimass speakers in 1989 and they still work. The sound is still unbelievable and people wonder how this sound can come out at these small speakers.. Also have the soundlink mini since 2015. It refuses to break down and I take it everywhere. Bose stands for quality that lasts, so that's the reason I tend to go for the Bose. But in the end the sound quality when comparing them in the shop will be the deciding factor.
Honestly, i hate it when the bass has to be too much... I like a balanced sound signature. Obviously the Bose will sound better to many because of the prominent bass which is not the absolute indicator of sound quality... JBL serves just right, but they are both great sounding, depends on your preference.
Nice vdo. Could u please suggest best portable speaker under 75 $ (6000 indian rupees ) considering sound quality and battery. I found xsoundplus 2, stormbox2, soundcore glow, earfun uboom L, jbl flip 5. Which is best among those? or any other in this range?
Hard to decide which one is actually better sounding. I have a lot of JBL Speakers, but for these 2... I'd actually grab the Bose (on sale), because the bass is soooo much better tuned than the bass on the Xtreme4. You absolutely don't get any kick bass from the Xtreme4 (humming bass), while you get a lote more clean tight bass on the Bose. Also the highs on the Bose are much cleaner. Less present, but not as harsh (sissling) as on the Xtreme4. Woud like to hear a bit more instruments on the Bose indeed, but I can not help but feel that the mids on the Xtreme4 are a bit too harsh sounding and in combination with the 'off bass' it sounds less good than the Bose. Just my opinion. I will definitely check the Bose out, because when it would be around 300,- EUR, I think its price would be a lot more legit. As far as I can hear now... it sounds quite balanced and I'd like to know what more the EQ can offer, in the Bose app. Quite a good chance I will pick one up sometime! Thanks for the comparison!
@@GYMCADDY I own the jbl xtreme 4 and Bose soundlink max and the jbl is set for perfect sound but I feel like you definitely have to keep adjusting the EQ when playing different genres of music on the Bose.
For those who don't know JBL is only loud but Bose has that surround sound which is great for movies. For example, my parents have both full-size SUVs the Toyota Sequoia with JBL and the Nissan Armada with Bose speakers and I could tell you the Bose is way better. Lol my brother has the JBL Charge 5 and I have the Bose Soundlink Flex the flex has more bass and more surround especially when placed near a wall, I can't say that for JBL.
I was thinking about getting the Bose, but I heard it at Best Buy, and I was not impressed. I ended up picking up a Soundcore Motion X600 instead, and it's great! Also, Bose says the SL Max will be able to pair to another SL Max and the Flex in a software update.
The jbl xtreme 4 loses it's all bass at high volumes and pushes mids and highs a lot. That's why you get the extra loudness. The bose keeps that bass all the way, but it reduces mids and upper mids whith a 3khz peak, and that's why it sounds "hollow" as you said.. hopefully they fix this problem. But sound quality wise the xtreme 4 isn't necessarily better. It's a different tuning.
As always JBL is for the ones that know and like great sound. Bose is for the ones that don't know anything else and think they got the best because they paid premium dollar. 😅
