I disagree with you about the strap. The strap makes life easier because you don’t have to hold anything forever.

Well actually, to my knowledge it's meant to be replaced if the battery degrades. For example, if the battery no longer lasts than 6 or sum hours then you order a new replacement battery to get the longevity back.

After BoomBox 3, this Xtreme 4 is my favorite Bluetooth speaker

Upgraded from the Jbl Boombox 1 and Xtreme 2 to a new Jbl Boombox 3 and JBL Xtreme 4. Boombox 1 to Boombox 3, wow, what a difference! Very satisfied!!! I always use boombox 1 and xtreme 2 together. At home and on the road when I'm in the car. And so, with the B3 and Xtreme 4, it will be the same story. But here's the thing, pairing B3 and Xtreme 4 together doesn't sound nice if you let them be paired and play together at the same time. It's like putting 2 phones next to each other and trying to play the same song at the same time, but it just doesn't work out in sync. With the B1 and Xtreme 2, I never had that problem. They sound fantastic together! I ordered 2 Xtreme 4. And tested them both. The Xtreme 4 itself sounds really nice! There is nothing wrong with it. But once the B3 is paired with the Xtreme 4, it really didn't sound nice. One was worse than the other. There was a slight delay in the sound, and both Xtreme 4 had that. Also tested in the car. Noticeable delay in the sound. Very eggo-like. What a disappointment. So I ordered the Jbl xtreme 3 and paired it with my Boombox 3 with the party boost button. Problem solved!! Sounded great again! I also paired B3 Xtreme 3 in the Jbl app. Also sounded great! Playing the B3 and xtreme 3 together sounded like old times, just like the B1 and xtreme 2 together. But a big upgrade when the B3 and Xtreme 3 play together is a much richer and balanced sound. No delay or eggo. They can also be much louder together than the B1 and xtreme 2 when paired. I think the problem with the Xtreme 4 is because it no longer has a party boost button. Since both Xtreme 4's gave the same problem. A pity. But I am happy with my new B3 and Xtreme 3. They are a dynamic duo together again. They sound amazing together! :)

I have a flip 5 and flip 6 it would be cool to know if this xtreme 4 will connect to them. i originally got jbl speakers just for the sound & easy connecting between friends of mine with jbl speakers after watching this I'm skeptical of even investing and promoting such a weird change with the technology.

I use in my car sometimes on the rd and u can feel strong bass

I thank the Xtreme 1 was really made for out door listening because it has even more mid bass performance than my Xtreme 2.

Got the x3 for 229, I think that is more of a suitable price range for it also have the charge 5 red that I got on sale for 139 last year

Im buying one of these. Now let me explain why I won't be getting the boombox 3 or the boombox 3 wifi. 1, I need something I can carry all over the place, whether it be to work out or to bring to work and play music while I shut the place down. The boombox is too big to bring in front of the guest. And I'm pretty sure the managers wouldn't appreciate that. Because I share the house with my parents and cousins. Boombox 3 would be too much. The highest I can go would probably be the xtreme 4. This is why I feel this speaker is for me. Once I get a house alone, I'm buying like 4 boombox 4s. My only thing now is that I don't know how long I have to wait in June for it. Like, please be early in June.

I like the design of JBL speakers, but regular dynamic range is a dealbreaker for me. If someday JBL will make a Hi-Res Audio model, I'll buy it if it's not very expensive. But most I like the design of the new Soundcore line speakers and especially the Motion X600.

For the price I prefer the JBL Extreme 3 than the 4! The normal Boombox 3 is some cheaper in the Netherlands than the Extreme 4.Than I prefer the Boombox 3

I prefer soundcore for mid priced speakers, I do like JBL but they must be thinking they are Sony at those prices, I have a few Sony speakers.

Question how about you try the Xtreme 4 in lfm mode if you hold the Bluetooth button and the minus button for about 13 seconds until all the lights flash then you know your in lfm then try the Xtreme 4 it sounds way better

Can you try to connect charge 5 wifi / boombox 3 wifi with extreme 4 and extreme 3, to understand is it doable. As wifi versions were able to connect only with wifi ones.

My JBL Xtreme 2 has really good bass outdoors because it has more mid bass.

Is there way to sync Extreme 4 with older gen JBL speakers like for example Extreme 2? Or do you need that app for that? or is it now possible?

Im gonna be honest. I dont see a worthy price tag of 400 dollars. It isnt "that much" of a difference from the xtreme 3. I find the price to be too much. Just my opinion.
