i bought these based on the first review and i love them. They out perform my hyrax predator compound. i have dual stage foams. atleast on the river rock we have in NC they do better than the hyrax. GJ on the video. love the honest reviews.
I like your channel because you're not afraid to tell the truth of something doesn't work why do people with butter it up and say always a good thing when it's not I like that you're truthful about things much appreciated and you going to find detail for a lot of people do not thank you my friend
I'm still new to my trail f150 trx4. And while looking for beadlocks I went with 2.2s because that's what came on it stock. What I didn't realize when buying the landmines was the actual height size. They are almost half an inch bigger than the stocks and these things look huge on my high trail trx4. Unfortunately Wish I went with a different tire that wasn't so damn tall😂 😂
Thanks for your review. I bought the JConcepts Landmines because your first good review. It is true that they disapoint a little bit if you do not tune them. The JConcepts Landmines work really fine using the double stage inserts from Pro Line but substituting the soft foam by the one coming with the Landmines that is harder. You will have to trim it to right size ;) and enjoy!
Can you do a comparison between these Proline hyrax/predators vs jconcepts ruptures with proline dual stage foam 2.2? I haven't found a better combination yet. 🙏
This will be a rare time I am at odds with a review. But I can't argue with your video. I will 110% agree with your assessment of the scorpios. Keep up the great videos.
Yes i bought the hyrax too, they were already glued on. I put them on my trx 4 tactical. It was a improvement. I gotta try different foams now. I'll have to get different rims but at a different time.
It seems to me that most proline tires are just as good if not better yeah? Just an observation. I personally love the -proline bf Goodrich krawler kx- seems the best of both worlds with good traction on rock and dirt plus realistic af. Love the vids and please keep em comin Francis! 😁👍
Yeah, Proline has the best rubber since it's the tackiest. The KM3s and Krawlers benefit from the rubber and look more scale. Hyrax though has the most fingers/edges for grip.
I tried the JConcepts Landmine tires with pro line double stage and they were so so but using the hard part of pro line with cut original foam, they worked very well
Thanks for the honest review. I almost pulled the trigger on a set of landmines but went with the new Pro-Line Grunt instead. (Hint hint - future review). 👍😁
Great back to back review! Good job once again! Real honest reviews. You guys need to find some new places to crawl so you don’t get bored and quit the channel. 👍🏻💪🏻
Good info and just what I needed to know before I bought them. Im looking for tires for my SCX10iii and i was thinking on this ones now i see it wont work for me. Ill keep my Hyrax for now and probable just get some better foams for them. Thanks for honest reviews. Stay safe
Good info. I have yet to buy myself a grippy set of tires. So far I have only bought for looks. But I know the day is coming where I will be the only one who can't make it up/over something lol.
For jagged Midwest limestone crawling the Landmines do well. Glacial till granite smooth stuff not as well. I have the Proline Krawler KX Predators on my heavier TRX4 Sport, and they are great all around, but the Landmines with the Boom Hard inner/soft outer dual stage foam seem to work better in my Element which is a lot lighter.
I was wondering about your final thought on the Landmines and went with the Scorpios while I waited for these to be available. Glad I waited. The Scorpios are very well performing. Just as good as tires with the "Predator" compound from Proline. Jus to bad about these Landmines. I really wanted to like them. Thanks for the review.
Here's the same vehicle running the same lines with a Proline Hyrax Predator. Pretty conclusive that these Landmines are nowhere near that performance level. Jconcepts Scorpio did much better too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YZWkycYsq5U.html
I got a set on Friday. Jconcepts has them in stock now. I am thinking of ordering a set of their multi stage foams. Maybe that will help performance a bit.🤔🤔🤔
I just got a set last week. I plan to do a shoot out against others like proline and rc4wd. The tire looks good on my redcat. Curious how it does at my location.
@@RCReviewChannel Yes lots of granite. Soon as weather gets better I will get them on the rocks. I have a little test area I like. Trying to think of better ways to grade tires.
I have the "Scalers" and they're very much worth the money. Haven't tried the Deep Woods but anybody that has a set seem to like them quite a bit. I like all the Duratrax crawler stuff.
I have those but with stock foam. And they are great. But on a trx4. I think you should do the same test with a trx4 and stock foam. And scrap that axial truck please. Lol
question about the Radiolink RC6GS, Is it possible to get the diff lockers the same as the TRX4 stock controller with only one toggle switch? I'm trying to do it but I can only seem to get all locked or none locked at once with one switch, and I don't really want to use 2 toggles because I need the other one for my winch.
I think, as with any crawling tire (or, an RC tires, for that matter), the Landmines are better than other tires in certain areas, and are worse than other tires in other areas. Using of-road buggies, and Pro-Line tires, as an example the Hole Shot 3.0 tires are excellent, as are the Electron tires, as are the Prime tires...but, no one would ever say that any one of these tires is better than the others - each is designed for particular circumstances, and each excels in the area they were designed for. The Landmines are no different. They are better than the Hyrax & Rock Beast for certain things...but, at the same time, each of those tires is better than the others for certain thing. A BMW GS is no better/worse than a Honda Goldwing, which is no better/worse than a Yamaha R1 - each has a specific purpose, and each excels at the purpose for which it was designed.
Robb Ryan for what purpose were you designed? (Heheheh) well put I agree. I bet on sharp indoor 2x4’s 90 degree edges and weird sharp indoor surfaces needing super soft they prolly walk on everything eh?
