Maybe, but they aren't. Where were you when the US was supporting a coup in Ukraine a few years back, and also going back on pledges to not expand NATo, particularly vis-a-vis Ukraine. You are very ill informed, or perhaps naive, about what the US does with it's foreign policy
@@leoh2502 There's one monoparty with two big cliques occupying it. Suggestion as if that's a standard among Republicans and not Democrats is, at best, laughably disingenuous. The current VP might be the most unlikable, corrupted, and incompetent person imaginable. Political laughing stock before being appointed to the position by people who deal the cards behind the scenes.
This is the guy who previously said he might vote for Hilary Clinton because Trump is so toxic. The Republicans and MAGA have completely lost the plot.
He's an imbecile, he doesn't understand what allowing Putin to win Ukraine will mean for stability in Europe and the wider regions, he probably doesn't know where Ukraine is on a map, then again those maps they give to children in restaurants are never very big.
What do you expect a politician to say when his biggest donors are Russian? This guy has the vertebra of a jellyfish. As an Ohio Reagan Republican I could see right through this guy and did not vote for him nor will I vote for the Trump ticket in November.
I asked for a simple evidence! Forget about your views or mine tell me about the facts and evidences! Do you guys have ANY evidence of Russians supporting Trump? Because as far as the history proved:” FBI final report concludes the FBI did not have enough intelligence to merit a full Trump-Russia investigation.“ so still want to talk baselessly? Isn’t that dogmatic?
Do Republicans understand Sovereignty Democracy Freedom and Justice? And that Ukraine has fought on behalf of the Freeworld for over 2 years? Shame on Vance.
Well Obama Started it by his Medvedev (Biden) So goes both ways right? But when this undemocraric trend is in your favour no objection but when it is against then you obejct?
Of course it's lost. Time moves on Reagan Republicanism was a product of the 1980s, over 40 years ago. Most Americans don't even remember it or know what it was. You're as likely to find an old-style Repub in today's America as you are someone using a typewriter. Weird that people would expect 21st century politicians to think like 20th century ones.
Trump is the worst thing that could happen to Putin. Putin's income is dependent on fossil fuels. Trump says drill baby drill and climate change is a hoax. His policies drive down fossil fuel prices and hurt Putin economically.
My read of the Trump and Vance position on the Ukraine is a little different. Their position is not that they wouldn’t support Ukraine at all but that European NATO members who have not been living up to their financial or military commitments geopolitically have a more urgent interest in supporting Ukraine. They want the European’s to step up to the plate and meet their contractual treaty commitments rather than have the U.S., which has its own financial problems, bear the majority of the burden of supporting Ukraine. Facially, it is not an unreasonable position.
He is a lot worse. Trump was the one who authorized lethal aid to Ukraine in the first place, and has been very vague about his plans (as this would leave him an option to increase Ukraine aid if Russia refuses to negotiate reasonably). Vance on the other hand believes whatever dictators around the world say (as was proven when he embarrassed himself by quoting a CCP newspaper in Congress).
Disagree with William that this not having a permanent effect on political discourse, as Vance is the vanguard of an ideology known as the New Right so this signals a massive shift in American politics. It is the clearest signal that neoconservatism is done in the Republican party.
@GairikGhosh-bx8ks shows he has smarts, which are in short supply in the US-we rank 26th in the world now in education. Which party has controlled education for decades?
Just listening on the radio, this guy has stated previously that abused women shouldn’t be allowed to file for divorce? and now this for Ukraine sounds like a nasty piece of work…shame of Trump, and we moan about Labour and co in power in our country 🤗
Not bothered what sort of politician is he, no heart what about the Ukrainian people do they not deserve to live in a democracy instead of putins dictatorship.
There are calls for civility whilst at the same time being very insulting and trying to score twisted points. We never really grow up .. we’re still children in the playground. Things will carry on as before ..I’m more civil than you are..no you’re not, I’m more civil than you..etc.
As an American we put our selfs in that situation to help another nation that was being attacked. Their fore it is our responsibility to finish the fight that we brought our selfs into. And not just for us and Ukraine but for the rest of the world. As An AMERICAN we once got help from allies to win our freedom from England. Why is it that the French do more to sustain the rights of a countries people to govern themselves then the United States. We were meant to help the rest of world be free to have the same freedoms we do. Why is that so hard to want for others. as an American, I am deeply disappointed in my country
Trump is a businessman, and he approaches Ukraine like a business and businesses look to cut costs to boost short term profits. Foreign policy and defence should not be treated in the same way as business.
The wealthy prosper in war too often. Golf courses and hotels are not of much value in war. Trump wants six monthly reports, not twenty-year plans that is expected from a President.
The Republicans have picked the best, Donald Trump. Maybe you weren't permitted to know, but President Trump has already shown himself to be one of the top five best Presidents that the United States has ever had.
@@alexalex-uq4cm They're unfamiliar with our election processes over in the UK. Look, they put people in power who maybe garner together 20% of the vote - it's madness ... as we can plainly see.
What big picture,do you mean putin doesn’t want progressive woke politics in his country or the corruption in Ukrain which was created and financed by hunter Biden, this war was created by multi national corporations such as vanguard and blackrock, try researching a little 😂
Why has he changed his wisdom! He is worse than Trump. That is his biggest mistake! What a waste for an intellectual. Where is his wife input, Usha.? Bless their family.
Watch out - "hurty" words get you unfortunate Brits thrown in prison. Remember Sam Melia - two years in prison for some innocuous stickers, stickers containing not even one "naughty" word. Shame.
No one is talking about Trumps plane on tarmac next to a Russian state aircraft for an hour a few weeks ago!! My guess? Vlad had thoughts on who should be the VP nominee.

The problem everyone fails to understand or to point is this:” Ukraine war could have been avoided if The US administration shown backbone in days before the war! When Blinken said:”America will defend NATO borders which meant Romania so that was interpreted as whatever in between Russia and Romania (Which is Ukraine) is up for grad but tell me what would have been if auch statements were not made and 10,000 American Troops were deployed to Ukraine birder months before the war when Russians were piling up troops there? So that is the failure that will cost democrats this presidency! Also abit of hypocrisy:” more people died because of COVID under Biden than Trump, while the vaccines were available during Biden presidency not most of Trump’s” so you can see how poor democrats were!
No no - two months into the conflict Zelenskyy and Russia had concluded a peace plan. Biden sent over his little (!) lapdog, Boris Johnson, to tell Zelenskyy to break the deal. Of course, as is typical with cowardly Brit statesmen, Johnson did as he was ordered. In following orders, hundreds of thousands of lives were lost in the subsequent conflict. Hasn't your State media even allowed you to know that? No wonder the Europeans are so dreadfully uninformed and totally clueless. Golly.
I'm hoping that if/when Trump becomes president he will sit down with the head generals and they will explain the Ukranian war and it's importance, at the moment Trump is relying on Fox News for his opinions
Trump was against the war in Iraq when generals said it was important. Peace is important also. What would you say is important about having a war in Ukraine?
@@user-jb2om7cm8myeah because the iraq war was important. Not as important as ukraine but still important. Im not sure what you delusional morons who keep saying this BS, acting like the US is the reason there's a war in ukraine, are thinking but please describe to me how Americans wanting peace in ukraine makes any difference if russia is the one invading and attacking them. Lets hear this stupidity
Came here for the first time because of the headline. Still, surprised at the level of stupidity evident from the vast majority of comments. Clearly we need to introduce some kind of quality standard for the franchise.

@@daffyduck780 If Trump is Re_Elected, and with the Post-Shooting "Sympathy Vote, it looks very likely, then Vance will be just ONE Big Mac away from the Presidency!
A lot more Americans are able to see through the neocon's pro-war hypocrisy regarding Ukraine than the media seem willing to acknowledge. Vance's take on interventionism is not extreme but reasonable. The entire idea that a dissenting view can be neutralized because you call it a "talking point" of some supposed adversary in utter nonsense
@@huntergill6477 As a liberal democrat myself, I dont agree with Vance on most issues, but where he advocates a classic Left anti-interventionism in regards to the Ukraine proxy war, I agree with him. So do many Americans, as polls have shown. On the contrary, the neoconservative ideology which is currently dominant in Washington, which asserts that the President of America is entitled to (as Biden put it last week ) be "running the whole world", is extremist. For the second point, i've noticed that a lot of mediocre intellects seem to think that claiming an argument they disagree with is invalid because it resembles statements coming , for instance from the Kremlin, is not a serious or logical argument, it's just a form of name-calling
This. Personally, i find it sickening that so many non-Americans have such strong opinions of what will ultimately be US voters choice in terms of foreign policy toward Russia and Ukraine- as if Europe and the UK are somehow entitled to US armaments. NONE of the other Nato countries spend anything close to their signed commitments of 2% GDP on defense, other than the US. As a South African citizen who values my country's sovereignity, i find this journalism appalling. I do not like Putin, and i hate what he has done to the Ukraine. But the US taxpayer does not owe me or anyone else anything. I think large portions of the US citizenry agree with people from the Global South- that it is time for the US to give up the neocon agenda.
@@fentermacherin I don't know where you heard that one. I'm in NYC, and not a single person that I know or talk to, want to continue sending our US taxpayer money to Ukraine. It's only our opinion that matters, anyhow. After all, the United States has easily sent the most monies there to, supposed, fund this conflict ... over $230 hundred billion dollars. If any of those countries that dot Europe, want this to continue, let them send their own money there.
