JDG saying "we won't lose right? bro?" to EG is so funny because I'm sure no LPL team wants to lose to an NA team. I didn't know their sense of humor is this funny lol
Its more like NA has alot of diversity. There were alot of chinese people there, ESPECIALLY at NYU, they have a massive international chinese population, who are rich as well. If you noticed not nearly as many people cheered for the korean teams, just not as many koreans.
There're also many chinese foreign students studying in american universities and im sure quite a number of them were willing to fly to nyc to watch worlds (especially since many of those are pretty wealthy)
I think it's more so just the massive Chinese population. There's like 700,000 Chinese Americans living in NY and Flushing is literally just China in America. Not Chinatown, just straight up China.
Well, New York City has one of, if not, the highest population of native Chinese immigrants in the US, and copium only goes so far when NA hasn't been relevant internationally for 95% of LoL's history.
1. There's a lot Chinese fans live at NY 2. NA is do bad even local fans doesn't want to cheer for them(Even i watch that region so many years but this Worlds felt suck to cheer them lol)
I went to MSG for the group A live last week and I was shocked on how fast c9 fans jumped ship to T1 after they got kicked out. NA stay speed running on everything 🤣🤣🤣
I knew it. No such thing as a headset where you can't hear the crowd. Man knowing this, now I feel bad for them when the crowd erupts during big teamfights. Hopefully they don't get too distracted.
@@friedrice0922 There's also not as many people at those matches as there are at Worlds, it's the same for any sport, the BIG shows(Superbowl, WrestleMania(if you don't know I'm not explaining), NBA Finals, etc), more fans will watch/go to those than other games because they are special!
Teamfights are probably fine, it's just hype af to have the crowd chanting. I think a bigger issue is when the crowd starts yelling when someone is camping in a bush. They can reveal the play.
I've played on stage a few times and honestly it's fine when you're involved in what's happening when they are yelling, it just gives you adrenaline But when you're struggling to reach a team fight or something like that, then the chanting is more stressful than adrenaline-inducing
Well, yes, but it´s not just the local Chinese community. China also has the largest fanbase and a somewhat more diverse demographic amongst the fans, more older fans with enough income to travel for Worlds. For 2019 group stage in Berlin Chinese fans made up a significant part of the audience too and the Chinese community in Germany is laughable compared to the US.
NA was absolute dog shit this year. Worst performance I've ever seen from a major region... And they still took more head to head games against EU counting play ins. But let's trash NA fans and players relentlessly now because we know damn well once NA is out, we're the next to go. It baffles me how these delusional EU fans can be so satisfied with being the 3rd best major region out of 4. It's embarrassing.
i know right, there are a lot more non na fans than NA. A lot put NA#2 behind their nationality. I personally don't get it. Like I'm Irish, but I feel more like an American that is Irish, than Irish, that lives in america. But, people love to hate on US because it's got the biggest stick lol.
I mean, they were in NYC, which has the largest Chinese population in America. There really isn't anywhere better for them to have a crowd that would love and cheer for them.
People are saying nyc has a large Chinese population, but given the ticket situation this year and how hard it was to buy them, I kinda presumed the crowd was just filled with a bunch of wealthy Chinese fans who could handke the cost and came over from China
Whenever there is an NA event for LoL there is no booths for crowd noises that's why the audience can only chant at the beginning of a match or when some interesting kills happens early game. Riot knows this and the audience too if they make a sht ton of noise they will make the players feel uncomfortable
At a certain point its basically impossible to block out crowd chants, even with booths. They still wont be able to hear some random guy shouting out jungle paths or something and the refs on stage keep a lookout for anything suspicious in the audience that could be a form of communication to the players.
NA had a winning record against EU. You are tweaking out of your mind. G2 same record as EG, Fnatic going even with Cloud 9, and mad lions getting kicked out. And Rogue being lucky that TOP choked first day and the bug that helped GAM win. EU is also in the same pile of shit
TL would have went 0-6. EG had the hardest group and were playing with a sub. Most of EG's games they were competitive and didn't get completely destroyed.
EG literally looked like the best NA team in the entire tournament, they had so many close games and put up a great fight meanwhile 100 Paycheck Thieves and Clown9 accomplished absolute jack shit.
99% of crowd are chinese. Nice worlds NA. kekw Oh NA is a land of immigrants you say? Well then, i hope you're happy that the crowds favourite team is in Quarters. Omegakekw
I’ve been randomly watching their clips for hours😭 I got hooked and they made it.. I now want them to win worlds😂 3 teams i want to win - Jdg, Rge, T1🎉 Sadly they’re all in the same bracket🥲
