Lancer Evolution should be on UNESCO list, same as entire Japan. Evos must be turning back in their graves seeing current Mitsubishis are just poorly rebadged Renaults.
Only good true Jap brands today are Toyota/Lexus, Mazda and Honda.. The rest have all lost it. Subaru and Mitsubishi are barely heard of anymore and Nissan are too reliant on Renault junk...
@@japanluv I had a janky FD3 with glass top, turbo was blown, ran rough, very short turning radius. Other than being very unreliable it was also a blast
@@Andreasy2 that’s ridiculous they just copied my exact message! Anyways, I’ve got some videos up of my car on my channel which they definitely can’t copy haha
It’s almost 2025 and these mitsubishi makes same brakes noises and still got that AWD stability fantastic product. The only downside is fuel quality these days which makes these old gems marginally slower
dude is brave using A052 tires ha ha. those are basically 1 lap wonder tires. we use those for autocross due to how fast they warm up, but switch to different tires for track use.
As a old Mitsubishi's owner , I liked to see Misha using the EVO manual phrase "In case of doubt ,floor it" . I was surprised for the electronic problem, it's a after market ECU ?
@@f4rensabri oh , I missed that , I was surely looking at the car 😅. I was surprised that a "old school" Mitsubishi ECU was failing after a few minutes of real driving 😆, so everything is explained 🙃
I think he tactically chose to cool down on the hill as that’s where most cars begin to overheat and it ruins the next part of fast corners having to wait on cool down, where the evo would’ve been incredible through. (Which it was)
Definitely harder suspension needed, bouncing around but moving still n gearbox is geared nicely 👌 n power is very good 👍. We all comment like we are Misha 😅
Wanted an Evo VIII so bad since they launched in the US! I mean, I wasn’t driving yet but a 12-13yo could dream! Got a 2004 WRX in 2011 and immediately wished I got an Evo or NA Supra MKIV instead just paid little more, blew enough engines that both would’ve ultimately been far cheaper 😂 Heck even an FD RX-7, coulda shoulda woulda, I assume prices have skyrocketed as they have for everything (another mistake, selling my AP1 S2000, these modern prices disgust me glad I hung onto my NA6 Miata cause somehow even those are not worth the $ any longer!)
Question would you try to race on an american race track it would be really fun to watch you learn new track and be agressive in them much love from Puerto Rico brother started watching your videos this year and since then i think i have watched at least 80% of your videos😂 you sir are a genius behind the wheel
Ah! Evolution there very good, mine is a VI KW clubsport on Alcons brakes and Yokohama ADO8 the last of the old type and on a Ti HKS Kai2 turbo kit long rod 2.0 Ltr Link ECU.
I had found a super clean evo 9 for a good deal a few years ago and i didnt pull the trigger on it and i still regret it to this day. But i will have a r32 gtr in my future
Hey Misha, I bet you can drive in this track completly blindfolded and yet again set a record!!, Some dude sleep walking, you ....... sleep racing in Nurburgring :D :D
Saw an evo 1 abandoned with a pile of trash on top of it. Considering how popular it is in malaysia, I'm just shocked to see what looks like a mint condition but dirty as hell evo. Saw it while we was passing by a tiny village in a middle of nowhere while on a road trip so it kinda make sense why it's still abandoned
Ed edd and eddy socks wtf??!! How.. where. In Europe??!! Im not sure if you yourself are german misha. New to the channel but thise socks blew my mind lol as well as youre phenomenal driving
From my understanding you are now allowed to use that lane, because they made a new routing exiting the track left from devils diner to the roundabout. But not a lot of people are aware of this, because previously that lane was only for people going for an extra lap and the taxi cars as far as I know.
Absolutely loved the lap with the EVO 9! The Nürburgring always brings out the best in these JDM legends. Amazing driving and commentary, Misha! Keep up the awesome content, and thanks to @pep_evo9 for the insane run!
what was that strange sound, tyres scrubbing? seemed like it was trying to climb off of the rims... don't think the tyres should of been any softer lol... Unbelievable grip levels.
Not very chatty owner!! Evo’s are ok but my experience in the UK is that they RUST the second they see any rain, and badly! I prefer the Evo 6RS of the Evo’s I’ve owned Impreza’s and the early ones are so much lighter than the later Evo’s, best car of that type in my experience is the Impreza Ver 3 Sti Type RA - an absolute blast!
That's not how it works, but the term is already somewhat lost today in which it was originally used. Many Japanese sports cars sold globally still carry the JDM title
Exactly, nope it isn't but 'JDM' has become a buzz word for Japanese car in general. Just like people thinking that 'EDM' is a music genre when it isn't also. It seems like 3 letter terms ending in 'DM' are susceptible to this lol.
Misha - Have you ever Drove a Full Spec Rally Car on Nurburgring?? I know they are Very Loud Cars and Probably will be Banned after One Lap or They are Fully Banned?
