She tries to repress her love due to what he has done..in the last scene she says that even though she should hate him she can stop being in love with him. Also if you never watched the show. The name gu xiao wu was the alias thay the primce used to get close to get close to the princess. They ended ip falling deeply in love. But after a tragic incident they forgot about each other. And they ended up in the palace snd are bethrothed for political tied. Xiaofeng somehow managed to remember the dalliance.
He never can defeat Gujain in fighting so he use his position to eliminate him but all in all he play his character so good that why we” don’t like him his great actors for his young ages 👍👍👍👍
I feel so pity for the girl, she had to marry the person who killed her grandfather and endure all the insults and torture of her husband and finally she kills herself 😭
It is so unfair for her to remember the past first. If only he remember it first, then probably he could redeem himself. In this case, what happened in the ending is what both of them deserved.

This drama will aways remain in my memories. Acting and storyline are incredible. I have not seen the Main female actress or the Main Male actor act in such a great drama since this one.

Aparte quería engañarla porque pensaba casarse y sacarla de la tribu para que no viera lo que iba hacer. Realmente se portó muy mal en ningún momento pensó en echarse para atrás por el amor que le tenía, aparte de todo la uso engañandola para que lo llevará a la tribu de su abuelo. Tuvo el final que se merecía

While Chengyin‘s lie had such a strong impact on her life such as the genocide of Dan Chi, the deaths of her relatives etc. Her lie resulted him turning into a jealous and insecure psychopath, letting him think that she had fooled him and his feelings all time long for another man. If she had told him the truth instead of giving him hope and then taking it away from him ruthlessly, he would have not killed Gu Jian, Ah Du wouldn’t have died, and he would have not started another war-> meaning she wouldn‘t have had to kill herself in the end. Although I‘m sure he would have not let her go either if she had told him the truth- everything else would have turned out for the better.
li chen yi is a psychopath by his own schemes. When she was his wife, he lived humiliating her for Se Se just because that way he was going to flatten the way to the throne. It wasn't going to change anything if I told him at the end because she would surely want to leave or commit suicide and he was going to prevent it; Gu Jian was going to help her and surely Li Chen Ji would kill him for getting between them. That's how deformed his character was

I'm sure that if that happened she would run away (as she did at the end) with the help of gu jian and there li chen yi she would hate him and kill him for getting between them; or she would kill herself. I sort of understood why she didn't tell him in some places, but I was puzzled too why, when he was about to order the arrows loosed on Gu Jian, she didn't tell LCY he was Gu Xioawa. I know it was necessary for the plot to flow and us to get our tragic ending, but these lapses in logic just bother me. All I can say that perhaps she didn't realize he did it out of jealousy and thought he just wanted to kill him for the attempted assassination of the emperor as explained by General Pei.
This drama has extra scene (epilogue) where the ML & FL met in modern times and have happy endings.. ~ Spoiler ~ However, I feel the tragic ending here is suited. Whichever side FL choose will also made her unhappy. She died to prevent war and to made ML regret (he deserved it)... Such great acting from all casts.
Yup, for the time I preferred sad ending over happy ending. He didn’t deserve to be with her in any lifetime. His obsession tortured her to the point that she killed herself both to save the remaining family she’s left with and to get away from him (hence causing him misery forever till he lived).

Cheng Yin really started to go into maniac mode here onwards and it only gotten worse. He stopped caring about his image of SeSe’s lover cause he knew until now there’s no competition for him that would take his actual love away from him. In his views once he’s done with eliminating all potential enemies and SeSe (perhaps!?) so he could have all lifetime to persuade Xiao Feng but lost it the moment he saw in Xiao Feng’s eyes that he no longer stood a chance and that there was a threat in his life that could take away the only person he genuinely (in his pov) loves. Gu Jian was right that he being delusional and Cheng Yin himself realise this too but wouldn’t admit and hold onto the last love he had for someone.
More like he dies because of her stupidity, she never once denied the prince that the other was guy gu xiouwu, she let the prince think that the other man was gu xiouwu. What was she expecting, that the prince will leave him alive. However unfair it was, you are crown prince wife, the crown prince will kill his wife's "affair" man.
