I couldn’t see myself wearing Le Male Le Parfum on cooler summer nights. It smells weird if the weather is not cold (at least where I’m located) 😅 But maybe it’s colder where you live…
I still wear the original Le Male, and have done since the late 90’s. I don’t think it smells dated at all. I still get compliments for it now, as I did back then. Great fragrance. I’m waiting for a sample of Le Parfum to arrive next week.
@@JoeT-re5ro I had a few samples of the vintage formulation, I have the current one, and I think I figured out why it seems very different. The old ones had a ton of time to let the alcohol slowly evaporate from the bottle, and the chemical composition changes over time. My modern (2020 April batch) had more than 4 years to macerate, and now it smells almost identical to 90s Le Male, it smells more “rounded out”, and has a performance similar to the vintage.
Ultra Male was my first purchase when I got into the hobby in 2020 and it's still one of my top 10 favorite designers. Elixir hasn't hit stores here yet but it sounds great. Can't wait to smell it.
If you enjoy Ultra Male, I’d try a sample or decant of One Million Elixir in case you don’t know it. It has a similar style (some people on Fragrantica say they are identical, but no… they have a similar vibe, but not identical imo)
Le Male Le Parfum was my first jpg and my first blind buy 2 years ago when I got into fragrances. And man I fell in love to this day it’s still one of my favorite fragrances in my collection
Ya i think vanilla is just a smell everyone loves. I have it and ive also heard la parfum is like a better version much like he said in the vid, I'm going to get a sample just to be sure.
I owned Ultra Male last year when I was 17. I'm currently 18 and I have Le Parfum, and the original (Yes, I wear the O.G and I'm proud of it) and I love all of them. I don't think any of them are BETTER than the other, but Ultra Male is my personal favorite.
@@saqivmalik-pf6kr Some will say that it's feminine like. I personally do not think so. I will however admit that it is VERY sweet, so if you don't like sweet fragrances, stay far away from Ultra Male. But, if you are a fan and can handle the sweetness, I would recommend it. I don't own it anymore, so I can't tell you which batch it is.
I’ve worn the original Le Male since I was old enough to afford it! (Early 2000’s) I still get compliments from it and back in the day the ladies absolutely loved it.
Ultra Male is undefeated for this house. It just smells amazing all the time. My pillows smell like it.... that's how much I want to constantly smell it.
Regardless of availability, doing a cohesive list of several fragrance lines including every fragrance would be interesting and something I am sure a lot of us would enjoy! For example all Le Males, all Dior Hommes, Fahrenheits etc.
I own just one JPG and its In the Navy. I saw it at Ross for a ridiculous low price. I always thought that this line was youthful and just a clubbing fragrance. I really like In the Navy and now thanks to this video going to buy the Elixir.
Le Male Elixir is the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled ❤ buying it tomorrow, big bottle. Later I will buy On Board and Le Beau and I’m staying with my JPG’s: ultra male, le parfum and 3 mentioned earlier❤
Le Parfum and Ultra Male are the only ones that I feel are worth keeping in my collection. Fantastic fragrances. Granted, I haven't got my nose on the new Le Beau yet.
I tried Le Beau, it isn't bad, but the other ones are so much better imo. The first time I tried it I didn't really like it because of the strong coconut note, but if you like those type of notes it might be for you in the summer.
Informative, comprehensive and highly valuable review of JPG's Le Male & Le Beau fragrances ! And a very precise in description, as well. Le Parfum is my choice !
I really like the Le Male line up. I started with Ultra Male, I got the Le Male Le Parfum and just picked up Le Beau Le Parfum. Can’t wait until they release Elixir in Canada.
@@antoniomufarrij6683 I really like it. It’s my new go to summer night fragrance. I’d wear Cedrat Boise or BDC EDP in the daytime. I was very pleased with buying it
I was about to buy Armani code edt but then I smelled le buea at the store and instantly loved it. Both have that vanilla sweetness but le buea has more character to it
I like it, but it smells slightly dated to me. Also, a female friend smelled it when I tried it at a Sephora store and she said she didn’t like the amount of Lavender. I’m afraid that Lavender is used so often in cleaning products nowadays that it takes away the shine of some great fragrances. But it also depends on how strongly a specific fragrance reminds someone of unpleasant or harsh smells I guess.
I still love Le Male and a great fragrance. But I’m thinking of getting one of the others to change it up. I remember about 15 years ago seeing this one by JPG in a clear , but same bottle with flowers on it. Back then I didn’t know they made different versions of the same cologne, so I didn’t try.
In this order 1. Ultra Male ( my all time favorite fragrance ) discontinued in USA, can still purchase while they last sadly. 2. LeParfum 3. LeBeau Male 4. Le Male Elixir 5. Le Male 6. Gaultier 2 7. Terrible 8. Le Fluor 9. Kokorico 10. Le beau
So far, I think Le Male Le Parfum is my favourite although I really am looking forward to trying Elixir, which by the note breakdown, might take #1 spot for me.
i loved Le Male when it first came out but never repurchased cuz to me, Versace The Dreamer smells suuuuuper similar to it but waaaay cheaper in price.
I kept watching reviews online for a fragrance to buy, I had a few on my mind before entering the boutique/fragrance store, but as soon as I've entered the store, I quickly grasped onto that golden tin from le male elixir and asked one of the assistants if they have a discount for that... Now I'm a proud owner of the most beautiful fragrance I have ever smelled in my entire life. I hope these compliments start coming 😎
Le Male was my first signature scent, I've re-bought probably 10 times. During quarantine I found Mercedes Benz The Move and that became my daily. 2022 I went back to JPG and tried Ultra Male, Currently my daily
I finally got my nose on Le Male Le Parfum, and I gotta say, with all the hype I was a little underwhelmed by it. I really like the oppening and the heart, while the iris is more present, but when the iris vanishes and you reach the drydown it just feels too "basic", like a very generic oriental base, that spicy, vanillic, sweet woodsy type of deal.
I want to buy this fragrance for my boyfriend, but I have a problem in that Covid ruined my sense of smell so either I can’t smell things at all or other smells will hit my brain like a freight train, and one of those things is perfume and cologne and I’ll admit, I’m being selfish. I’m trying to find one that I can stand. It’s been four years since Covid and my nose will never be the same. Thank you for this video. It was very informative but I can see that I’m going to have to watch it many times so I can make my choice.
After three years of collect JPG is my favorite line. I love the OG and keep it in my rotation weekly. I recently picked of Popeye and Superman and they are my favorite go to summer fragrances.
Surprisingly, I find the best one for summer is in the navy, i also like le beau edt but i think in the navy is easier for everyday wear. Kind of a hidden gem?? Maybe im crazy
@@Rxiine there are only 3 JPG men's fragrances that aren't Le Male or Scandal: Monsieur Eau du Matin, Kokorico & Kokorico By Night. And I think all of them are discontinued.
I’ve never actually owned a bottle of Le Male, but Cuba Gold and Perry Ellis 360 White have been mainstays in my fragrance collection since the very beginning. Not sure if it’s worth getting a bottle of the OG when those clones work really well for me, and I’ve heard it’s quite watered down these days
I couldn’t decide between Le Male Le Parfum and Le Male Elixir, so I got both lol. I was lucky to get a 4.2oz LMLP for $69 and a 4.2oz LM Elixir for $86😮💨
I have Le beau mâle, ultra mâle and Le mâle eau fraîche André edition. Eau fraîche is my favorite one.. Le beau mâle performance is too low..but jean Paul gaultier always deliver something great..
It’s about time you did a Le male buy guide. You’re the only huge fragrance channel besides Jeremy fragrance that hasn’t done one. Jeremy needs to get on it too tbh
You have to do a longer video on the other channel. This might a interesting lineup. Even the hard to find ones would be really be appreciated. Thanks mate
Jaguar gold got that same apple smell like in le make, they both half same projection, like 2 hours arms length and 8 hrs closer to skin and on clothes, Hollister festival smells close to ultramale with apple instead of pear but is cheaper and weaker!
I have JPG le male in the navy and it’s the best one to my nose. All the others smell too mature for me (except for eau fraiche), in the navy is a fresher, youthful take on the le male DNA.
Nothing to do with Le Male, alil free advertisement while I watch video. AROMATIX just gave your Jet Black Enigma high praise on his Live stream 9/10🤳🤳🤳
I'm looking for the 2nd one Le Beau Male I bought it for my guy when it came out I can't find it in my country he loved it so much he won't wear anything else I'm really hoping it would come back it's perfect for him
Wow , such an entertaining and informative video, thanks for making these awesome videos. On a side note, can you review silver scent intense by jaques bogart, ilove this fragrance ever since my old man gave me a bottle when I was 15 , would really appreciate it if you broke it down so I would know what pulls me to it.
Aviator, on board and in the navy and even the popeye one I missed because I figured they were the same as the OG. I have the OG, Ultra, le male le par, beau parfume and exiler I had no idea the rest were out wish I could hunt them down…. I remember my aunt buying the original for one of her bf in the 90s and I got something else but when I smelled his I instantly became a fan…. So are the ones with the jackets on them and the special pride ones the same as some just with some flash on the bottle?
I haven't tried a Le Male that I love yet. However, I've only tried the original, Ultra Male, and Le Parfum. I've never seen testers of the others. They're decent but not my taste, other than Ultra Male which I actively disliked. I have a feeling I'd enjoy the newest one, the fresher ones, and Essence de Parfum.
