Quelle joie d'écouter ce jeune et brillant claveciniste qui parvient à nous faire oublier Scott Ross, tant sa sensibilité et sa maîtrise porte haut les oeuvres qu'il interprète ! Quel mystère qu'un tel morceau nous bouleverse tant , avec ce dialogue main gauche main droite si complémentaire , si bien phrasé aussi par l'interprète...en bref c'est comme une errance pleine de souvenirs sous les frondaisons du parc du château de Courances .

Ce dialogue ressort d'autant plus qu'il n'est pas possible au clavecin de souligner autant la mélodie qu'on le ferait au piano. Il en ressort un entrelacement des plans sonores d'une grande profondeur, admirablement tissé par l'interprète.

@@antoinenaik2225 merci de votre réponse.Je reste tjs admiratif de cette indépendance des deux voix ds ce type de répertoire , qui rend parfois très difficile la transposition pour deux instruments , violon et viole de gambe par exemple , tant cet entrelacement n'est concevable que géré par un seul interprète.

Quel accomplissement que de parvenir au niveau de maitrise de la partition et du clavier qui permet sur cet instrument somptueux de donner à entendre Jean Philippe Rameau avec tant de pertinence de sensibilité et d’émotion! Merci Monsieur Rondeau.

Jean Rondeau is so much more musically advanced than anyone else playing today. We are living in an incredible time, along with his compatriot Thomas Dunford music of the highest caliber is being recorded and performed.

Ce qui est merveilleux avec Jean Rondeau, c'est que tout semble simple, évident. Les heures de travail ne transparaissent plus dans ce qui semble une réinvention permanente de la musique.

What I find amazing is how often he is supposed to be playing the harpsichord as the camera pans over it to his face dramatically intense upon playing and you assume his hands are in the act of playing yet the harpsichord jacks, which you can plainly see, are not moving! If he is going to fake the performance at least play some keys so the jacks will look like they doing what they sh ould.

Lol this is nothing compared to the mullet Trifonov often has, but his mad facial expressions are "inspiring" to say at least! So this guy looks fairly normal to me.

In distinction from all the rave reviewers below, I find that the continual and invariable playing of the left hand before the right becomes mannered, tiresome and irritating. I can't belive this was really the way they played. It's like listening to one of the worst late 19th century pianists like De Pachmann

No one's forcing you to like it of course. But it is historically well documented that detachment between voices (or between left and right hands) was and is standard harpsichord technique.
