True! BUT on here she HAS to keep it short! They are her ACTUAL friends so her stories are probably much much longer with them. They didnt say her stories sucked, they said she was long winded! Which is probably true since they know her better than any of us do! LOL!
Poor Jeannie. She does tend to be long winded sometimes, but her stories are very entertaining. She tried to call out Tamera, but ended up being called out herself lol. I hate when that happens.
I don't get it. Jeannie has hands down the BEST stories. The car accident in Hawaii, the toe nail fight with Freddy, her dad eating their leftovers in secret because they were so poor, etc...I could listen to her allll day!!
Gennie stories all day er day baby! Sometimes when one person "gangs up" on someone, others like to join in. Gennies stories are pretty damn entertaining. Another thing...i understand being Real, but then there's putting a co-worker down hard on live television which doesn't sit well with me. Don't laugh at someone expense, especially someone you work with everyday, call a "friend" and on live TV. But koddos to our girl Gennie for taking everything like a BAWSEEE. She has a good spirit! I don't think they are referring to all of Jeannie's stories, especially the ones on girl chat. They're talking about more basic stories, like going to the supermarket and seeing something funny. I actually have the same situation as Jeannie, and it IS ACTUALLY a fair, constructive criticism (even if it was not presented in that way here). I'm a natural storyteller like Jeannie; I get it from my Dad, I think. That man could keep you in a seat for three hours on a long-winded story. From our perspective, we try to give you a lot of detail to set up not only the scene, but the THOUGHTS going through my head at that time. The issue is, from the other side, is that you end up stuck on one part of the story for a long time. People typically need a story to flow at a steady pace, from beginning to end, or else they will lose focus and eventually interest. The key difference with stories on the show is that Jeannie knows she has a time limit, so she works to operate within that time; this is different from real life, when we will just take up a long period of time. I know it's hard for Jeannie to hear, but she knows it only stings a little and you will be all the BETTER for it.
+Bog Z, it doesn't matter if they are talking about the stories on the show or at home. If they are real/true friends, they would listen. That's just all there is to it.
I see what you are saying, but I don't think that's just all there is to it. If you are a real/true friend, you are going to do your best, but you are still human. Also, your real/true friends are allowed to give you feedback about things provided that they are not trying to "change you." If they had an issue with Jeannie being an energetic person, I would wholeheartedly agree with you, because that's her natural personality and she has no reason to change it. But if they have trouble paying attention or understanding what she is saying, they have the right to express their opinion. They are being honest with her, that's all there is to it.
Except Jeannie has stated in the clip itself Tamera, at the very least, would ask to listen to her problems from the day. If Tamera was really that tired from her kids --like she eventually settled on as the reason she zoned out while listening to Jeannie-- then why ask at all? Stories will have details. Whether the story is long or short depends on the story. That's not Jeannie's fault. And it isn't Jeannie's fault Tamera is tired from her kids. So, if Tamera is too tired from the kids she chose to have, then don't ask people about their day and why they are down/feeling bad. And while I initially agree that a friend has a right to express themselves, the way Loni, Tamar, and Tamera went about it was completely wrong. Tamera was giving every reason in the book why she was zoning out before settling on her kids being the reason. You're kids aren't an excuse to zone out. That's just rude. Especially when you specifically ask to hear about a person's day.
Jeannie actually tells the best stories on the show , Tamera is always crying, Tamar smacks her lips too much, loni lies Adriennes are pretty followable , i think the most memorable stories are jeannie's
I'm glad Adrienne always sticks up for Jeannie. I love Jeannie's stories bc they're entertaining with a lesson. I'll take her over Loni's lying ass stale stories anyday!
jeannie seems to have a story for every situation. it's like if someone says "gold fish" she will be like, mama mai and i went to the the store and got into a fight with some lady over gold fish
Isn't that what's supposed to happen when you've lived? Like really lived a long eventful life? You have stories for days. That's why I get mad at Loni when she tells obvious lies even when she has had experiences.
I love Jeannie and her stories but they're talking about advice. Which is completely different. I know because I'm guilty of it. You're not just telling the story along the way you're trying to justify yourself and have the person agree with. Know thineself and why is everyone picking on Tamera. Jeannie wanted to know why she zones out and she told her.

I can't even talk about Loni stories, because they're all lies. Adrienne keeps talking about her (slightly sexist) dream a being a married woman and having kids. Please Jeannie, keep it up! You're the funniest and definitely the most interesting one. She the realest too!

I think it depends on the way you're looking at it. To me it looks like 4 friends commenting on it, how come loni and tamera can say it but once tamar does it's mean? I felt they were all pretty mean in this segment. Adrienne was trying to be nice tho.

First of all Tamar' stories are very hard to listen to and hard to understand plus very ghetto. Tamera talks about the same thing her kids and her husband zzz Loni talks about brown liquor all the time. Jeannie is the realest with her stories. You can tell a story is fake or real by the way its told with the details. The three on her right are not good listeners they only hear what they want to hear. Period!!

Jeanie actually has good stories on The Real! But sounds like the issue is the shared stuff amongst her peers. she goes into looong details about her personal issues in her life. I do that too and i notice the attention span dwindle. peeps get bored easily. i have a tendency to do the same thing!!!
On the show they have a specific time that the have to cut off so she can only say so much until it is time for them to go to commercial but when it is just them she can go as long as she wants
It's so hard to have in depth conversations in this day in time. Social media has curbed people's attention span into small increments and made it so no one can focus. I'm a talker so I can relate to Jeannie on this front.
If I were Jeannie, I would of went off on Loni when she stepped in, boyy. Jeannie should of said, "Loni, why are you talking? your stories are bullshit, talking about bacon all day, sex that you don't have and brown liquor that you cant afford. SHH." :)

I like Tamar but why does she always have to say to the other ladies "they don't understand because they don't have kids" It comes across as condescending and Tamar you practically a new mother yourself so you're still learning too.

At least Tamera asks Jeannie to tell her her problems then Tamera zones out. More often then not the story is gonna have a lot of details in it. If they REALLY didn't want to know it because they were tired due to their kids, they shouldn't have asked Jeannie to talk. Especially since according to ONLY them she is long winded.

Mika M, exactly! Just because you have kids doesn't mean you are allowed to zone out. If their kids were injured (seriously or not seriously), I would understand. But from what I gather by Jeannie's tone, that's not the case whatsoever. They zone out just because they don't like her stories at all.
No, I'm not complaining I was sharing an opinion. Yes I did tell them to "stfu" because that does not discredit someone else's opinion on a matter. It can enhance a perceptive but they way they do it after so many episodes can be overbearing and in fact they shut down other opinion or disregard a comment due to the fact they use it as an excuse.
