It is super quiet, I know a lot of people will say it is not as reliable, well if everyone has to buy ecotech equipment, then there will be a whole lot less people in the hobby. I actually started getting into the hobby again after 20 years off and I am amazed at the options in equipment at different price points and makes it so much more affordable and available to everyone. 20 years ago, you had to make your own hood and stand and do all the electric wiring of the transformer for the metal halides to be able to get into this hobby.
I have the same pump, been running for two years no problems except for me being lazy and not cleaning it. They do vary the flow rate when you don’t clean them.
Had the dcp 4000 running about 3 years, still going strong, however I have recently got jecod sow-15’s one of them went faulty after 2 weeks luckily Charterhouse aquatics replaces it straight away
I just replace my Jebao DCW 8000 for one of these. Does you DCP have a soft start? I'm finding mine ramps pretty darn fast.. the DCW had a nice slow gradual slow start this thing is pretty much a second, 2 at most and it's at its max setting.. I thought they were meant to have a soft start
Great pump and will run very silent when it's at 30% Tattoo needs touching up mate lol.But in the reefing world we don't even have enough for toothpaste let alone a tat touch up lol
Pahahaha, yeah not fussed with tattoo now as had it done at 17! A long long time ago now haha yes bloody expensive hobby its hard to finance really what with having horses and dogs and my 14 year old sons reef tank as well, but you got to follow your passions i suppose
