@@JDHMakesGames you certainly made the combat system a living hell on this game, glitchy as hell on my playstation. Doesn't dodge when I hit circle or run when I hold down L3. So in other words screw your challenges.
After playing through the entire game i realised you can force push rocket troopers’ rockets back at them or other enemies. Would’ve been a lot easier if i knew that earlier.
you can also slow them at the moment of launching a rocket, pull the rocket and launch it at other enemies or pull rocket trooper towards the rocket, pretty fun stuff
btw, you're able while fighting Oggdo you can pull and cut off his tongue, one attack less, and even when dealing with a bounty hunter with a jetpack you can push him into a wall and damage it so he won't fly and attack with a flamethrower anymore
I thought there would be a lot more use of precise evasion, half expected it to look like Goku using Ultra instinct lol. Seeing that there's a lot more sprinting involved gives me hope that I can achieve such a thing lol.
I hear ya. I’m sure this was still hard as hell and took multiple tries even playin like this, but anyone can play like this lol. Was hoping to see some style and some finesse
I beat the whole game on grandmaster and couldn't survive not even 3 waves on any of those combat challenge maps, even jedi Master is insanely difficult for me. Well done!
Late to the party, but I'll add to that that you can also pull the rocket itself and launch it with more targeting. I think it might also be possible to slow the rocket trooper as he fires and pull him into it, it's not efficient just flashy and fun.
After returning to this game to finish my run after the ng+ patch and grandmaster is still that level of requiring high execution but immensely satisfying. If it is truly the channel of one of the people who created the system. Thank you. This is the best star wars game I played in years. This game is amazing and rewarding but demands of you to allow yourself to go with the flow and match the tempo for victory.
Yeah man I just replayed it last month & I thought it was good the first time I played it on PS4 but idk if it's the upgrade on PS5 but this game is amazing I been hooked on it... made me go back and play Battlefront 2 which is also way better than I remember but the combat is not as good as this
The challenge and having to think strategicly was good. But having to run away the entire time doesn't feel very jedi-like or cinematic. Feels a bit cheesy. I hope the next game has better mechanics for dealing with groups without having to run away. I found the leap-jump attack very useful for that but the force meter limit made me prefer saving it for more damaging moves. Look at other games that have ways to temporarily disable other enemies so you can avoid getting overwhelmed. Or ways to attack and evade at the same time if timed well. (spiderman and batman games have good mechanics for this) I thought the force slow move would be useful for that but it doesnt last long enough and holding to cast it for a longer duration leaves you too exposed. Would also be nice to be more forgiving with the force meter. God of war has a lot of moves and most of them are free. Each one has a specific niche of usefulness and creates beautiful choreography when used in their niches. I still had fun though, which is what really matters. I was trying to find ways to succeed without running away all the time which got frustrating.
How i did 3 stars: 1st round: Blocked Probe droids with dual blade and lured them to blow up next to flame troopers (no Force used) 2nd round: First killed rocket troopers then used Force to pull gunners down and killed them. Then i focused on one KX droid, hacked it and let them kill each other 3rd round: Same as 1st round and finished rest that survived 4th round: just ran all over the arena and Force pushed AT-ST granades back at it killing some enemys with them In progress. Then killed rest after AT-ST was down, left KX droid for last
This video demonstrates the reason i quit this game at the end of the fifth chapter. This game does not have the mechanics of fighting with a large number of enemies, the only option is to cut circles and take out one at a time. This alone would have worked fine if the protagonist hadn't been so clumsy. It takes too long to cut circles in search of a window. In good games, the designers make it so that you can beat continuously without slowing down. PS sry for my eng
Nice job man you’ve just earned a sub from me!!! Also, I didn’t know you could force push the at-st bombs until I watched this and my mind is absolutely blown! I also post Fallen Order stuff, but I’m nowhere near as good as you
Is it just me or is this Meditation Training reminding me in all the best ways of the DMC games Bloody Palace mode...? No complaints because it was a great series and gameplay mode but yeah, terribly reminiscent. I love it, it's a reason to chase perfection; now I really want to be able to actively taunt using Cal.
For some reason the parry for this specific purge trooper. . I got the parry right on my first try as in I knew the timing before I even saw it if that made sense... I 100% downloaded the baton purge trooper 1st try.....Every other purge trooper I still cant perfect parry. In games I have an easier time vs enemies with quick attacks... while slow hitting enemies I struggle so hard no matter what I play.
I think parrying their attacks is KEY. And the timing of it. Plus I don't think the Scout Batron Trooper isn't that difficult. Mostly the Electrostaff Purge Troopers(knockoffs of Grievous Magnaguards) are more of a challenge but fun to duel with.
Force Push is broken on this game. You don’t even need Force Pull in combat, just Force Push. It doesn’t even just force them back, but it stuns them and destroys their block meter.
Double blades provide great deflection to automatic blaster fire alongside moves again multiple surrounding enemies. Single blade is good for single blast shots or individual enemies.
@BRAWLSTARS_DUNCKY I It might be because you haven't beaten the main story yet? I updated but it only became available for me after I beat the storyline once.
