"The Force is powerful like fire or the ocean. It is a power we must respect. " Man, with this line Sol already became one of my favorite Jedi master. Here he explained in a simple but perfect way the escence of the Force. It can be dangerous, cause destruction and hurt everything and everyone, like a fire. But it can also be a source of peace, balance, life and joy. It depends on who, how they use it and for what reason it's used
As a Korean growing up watching Star Wars series, I always wondered why there arent any asian Jedi in the Galaxy where so many type of alien jedi exists. Especially the concept of Jedi being so much motivated by asian culture. (Buddism, Monks, Disciples, Jedi, Force, Balance, etc). Lee jung jae is very fit with the role I think its just very natural.
Yeah, we need actors like Hiroyuki Sanada and Lee Byung-hun, to play a Jedi Master. However, it will be difficult as some might prefer to play historical fictional characters or spy agents over fictional space monks. It is similar to how Viggo Mortenson (Aragorn) prefers playing film characters centered around family, emotions, and hope over action packed stories in Star Wars or Marvel.
What I like here in this series is that , unlike in the "Skywalker Saga", the Jedi are more flexible about their code of detachment. They openly show emotional bonds such as friendly gestures or attachment to their students. Master Vernestra is practically a legend in the Order at that time and has lived longer than Sol and has more achievements and experience than Sol but they treat each other as friends an equals. And Sol is seen that he has a close bond with Osha, almost loving her as a daughter. I don't remember seeing any Jedi acting like that by the time of the prequels or the Clon Wars series.
Yeah i know. As much as everyone calling this show trash. It showed this side of the jedi at least. more compassion and flexible. Not burden with strict codes.
Its the star wars saga, not the "skywalker saga" which was labeled like that by Disney for commercial reasons. The Jedi had a Monk like way of life, thats why they weren't allowed to show any emotions so they didn't fall to the dark side. It was something pointed out by Lucas, thats why it was on the prequels and Disney doesn't seem to get it right
Regardless of where the opinion stands on the Acolyte, you gotta give props to Lee, going from Squid Game to Star Wars, far from easy from what he's doing, I can tell you that.
The cities looks kinda clean around the temple I thought they still have large cities and towers still even during the old republic era before the high republic era in the show and in the movies too
Please include something of Yoda in this series. He was alive and training during this era, so even a visual nod or a brief appearance would be fantastic.
I’ve heard this voice before but I don’t think it was this actor. Is this a dub or is he mimicking someone else? Like I can’t figure it out. I’ve heard this voice before
