I consider anything post-ROTJ to be part of alternate universes, not just one canon; I prefer this over Disney's canon, though I like the tv shows set after ROTJ (Mando, BF, Ahsoka)

Not exactly unrealistic when he was the Dark Lord of the Sith, who masterminded a galactic army of clones, and was mentored by someone who possessed knowledge on CHEATING DEATH, is it? 🙄 Also, “Somehow Palpatine returned” was spoken by POE DAMERON; someone who knows nothing of how the Force works! Before rogue one existed there was Kyle and Jan.. The Dark forces Jedi series was one of the best Star wars games ever made. Seeing it remastered on a new graphics engine prooves that these old school games were on the right track for the Star wars franchise..
This was the last Star Wars-related piece of media I experienced that had the true feeling of the originals. Fun story, characters, and universe. And the light saber battles with John Williams blasting in the background was like nothing else. I feel like playing it again just typing this! Thanks for highlighting it!
@@Shadowkey392 Nah it wasn't. The only reason people liked that game better was because you got your saber from the start. In terms of story and design Outcast was superior and gameplay was the same in both.

I've just randomly stumbled upon this awesomeness, and I'm quite speechless. This is like taking a look at how my young brain interpreted the original game ages ago when the young me played it for the first time. Amazing. Simply amazing. I hope this huge project sees the light of day, I'm sure it'd make a lot of people very happy.

I love the textures, it's a good improvement. To me it is a shame that they ditched one of the most well developed EU characters that was part of the franchise, Disney should know by now that the best characters have a beard.
If it's worth anything, I like to think that this story is still "compatible" with the new canon; a few years after RotJ Luke has his jedi academy, everything plays out as in Jedi Outcast... and some time after that the events that lead to The Force Awakens take place... Episode VII takes place 33 years after Episode VI after all, so there's plenty of time for both stories to develop.

This is the PERFECT Star Wars game. It looks stunningly beautiful and authentic, the game mechanics have been perfected after the first 2/3 titles in the series, the level design is the perfect balance of difficulty, and the story is so compelling it brings you to tears.

Jedi Knight trilogy is the real STAR WARS film series continuation and not what Disney did shit into our face. Kyle Katarn himself is a way better character than what the entire cast were in the 7th and 8th episode.

Hello there, you don't know me but Jedi Outcast was one of those games that I couldn't play on my PC but instantly knew I would love it. So I started with Dark Forces II. From there I came to learn more about Kyle Katarn who instantly became one of my favorite jedi's. Everything about him from being an ex imperial agent to going rogue and helping Jan and joining the republic was so great. The storyline that revolves around him always made me crave for more of him rather than the movie characters aside from Obi-Wan. Then finally when I was able to buy an xbox and buy jedi outcast did I come to enjoy that game to the fullest. It was everything I hoped and even more now with mods from the community. There was so much depth to Kyle Katarn that I craved more on his stories. I'd like to thank you for making this movie because even until today I still play this game once a year along with Legend of Dragoon. This is by far the best thing I've ever made and it sucks I'm not a rich man who could donate to you guys but a broke ass college student. I am thrilled to see the end result and definitely excited for more news. Keep up the good work I've already been talking about this with my friends. Hopefully they'll also love it.
Sorry my friend, my work is unfortunately not compatible with the original Jedi Outcast. I had to make some modifications to the skeletons - but it is possible to paperdoll JA costumes if you know Maya or the like. The mod sites are full of cool stuff :)
Might be one of my favourite games that I’ve ever played. I was really young when I played through it, too, so it took me months and months to finally beat it. I remember grinding away at levels every day for weeks. lol Especially some of those early levels. I’m pretty sure it took me a good month to finally get to those mines. Something about spending the better part of a year slowly chipping away at the campaign made it so memorable and nostalgic for me. The ending, as silly as it might seem to me now, was one of the most epic conclusions to a video game I’ve ever experienced.

Fuckin new canon is a joke. The storyline is laughable. Acting is poor but they dont really have a great script to work with. Bring KYLE KATARN BACK TO CANON! As far as im concerned all of this new shit could've been topped by a blank canvis covered in vomit. Who's with me? FUCK VII VIII IX AND ROGUE ONE... solo is about the only one i could tolerate.
We've taken a break for a few months while we catch up on some other work. We're also testing our workflow across to Unreal 4 engine (from Unreal 3), so I can safely say we're still working on this :)

Well this is awesome. I loved jedi outcast so much that I played and finished it not less than 10 times! I think the lightsaber duels were so incredibly real and no other game, before and after JO, reached that level. I would buy a 2k17 remaster even for 100$

Actually, we worked out what we wanted to show for a trailer - so we only shot what we needed. We did, however, create a great deal of the sets so that, moving forward, we already had a lot of work completed for the actual feature. So no, the movie is not almost finished - but it's very much alive, and looking better than ever! Please believe us :)

How Kyle Katarn never made it onscreen is both a mystery and a tragedy..... They could have done it with ep 7 forward. In fact, screw lando in episode 9, have Kyle show up... have Kylo know him. It could have been epic... instead we get the shit we have now. I fear for episode 9, I really do. Kylo would know him, chewie and obviously luke would know him. could've been awesome. Outcast rocked, but I stick with my guns, I still like Jedi academy the best.
Impressive. Most Impressive. Came in expecting a cheesy cutscene edit like the kotor ones. I can say almost immediately my opinion changed. Very well done. The animation is solid, love the updated textures and the added detail. Gave the story suspense. I could actually say I'd watch this if it came to fruition. Kudos.

A Kyle Katurn saga would've been amazing, from imperial soldier to Jerec and the Valley of the Jedi, all the way to Desann. Disney would've made billions upon billions of dollars, yet they chose the politically correct route that sucks.

I love this and I rly hope it reaches good port, nevertheless: I know I may get disliked but, I grew up with Jedi Outcast when I was a child, and the game got stuck in my eyes for life. I think you maybe should return to the Orange color of the Original Valley of the Jedi, This one you made is awesome but its not as good as the Original featured in both Dark Forces II and Jedi Outcast. IMO. About the changes in clothes of the characters, is a good addition, but try not to make much use of it, since Kyle does not have much time to change his clothes chasing Desan xD (I rly like the jacket you decided to use in Artus) I think you will do very good, adding extra scenes, but also don't overuse it too much neither ^^ Keep it up guys, the force is strong with you.
