This shows how I replaced the lower radiator hose on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4. I watched other RU-vid video on how to do this before I started and that really helped. Perhaps my video will help someone also. It is not an easy job because of the location of the lower hose clamp.

Nice, I have a 2000 XJ as well. Did all the rubber on the cooling system a year ago. I had a 1990 XJ before that. Been driving XJ's since 1997!

We have had good luck with this Jeep for over 20 years. I just did normal maintenance on it. Your advice about ...."ALL the rubber on the cooling system." is probably something to put on the to do list. We don't drive it much and it has only 75K miles on it.

I Just replaced injectors on a LB7 duramax, took me 18 solid hours. I dont ever want to do that again. It runs as good as new though.

Some of these home car repair projects can turn into nightmares. I almost didn't do this one because of the lower hose clamp issue. At one point I almost gave up and called someone for help. I used to do everything on cars including full restorations on old sport cars. Now at age 72 I have to be careful what I attempt.

@@Lidmotor yea. I'm almost 50 now and dont like it much anymore but my father isnt capable these days and I saved him $5000 and a couple months of wait time. It's the least I could do for the man who took care of the whole family for decades.

My Jeep is evil. I have some needle nose vice grips specifically for hose clamps along with a pick set and a razor knife when I start losing patience. I've been watching videos to find out if my idler pulley is just missing...after watching a few, I now realize it is. Thanks.
