Heated Mirrors are only available for 1997-2001 models. They are tied to the rear defroster, and activate with it via the rocker switch.

I love having the option of heated mirrors for if they fog, but I've learned NEVER use them in the winter, all they do is dry out the salt and sand and make it harder to see from.

well, where I live it doesn't rain sand, only ice gets on the mirrors, so they work for me

A 1999 dodge dakota has a literally step by step identical process for changing the mirror. I changed one yesterday and then watched this to make sure i wasn't losing my mind.

Is it possible for a power window and door lock conversion for a 2d? I know I would need the door panel, regulator, door wiring. And locks anything else I need to do it or know?

It is possible and has been done before, but you need the entire body harness from a donor with powered options. None of the wires for power windows or locks are in the XJs without them, so you have to strip the entire interior out and run a harness from the fuse box, behind the dash, along the kick panel all the way to the rear hatch (which also has a powered lock on so equipped models) you can use a harness from a 4 door to do this, it'll just have some extra connectors for the back doors

Waemid, I saw some guy swap their power steering pump for a Jeep WJ pump. I'd love to see you do a video on this and let us know how much of a difference it makes.

That project has been on the "I'll consider it" list for a while. I have a stock Jeep though, which doesn't require any additional power steering assistance, but maybe someday I'll make it happen

I did the WJ pump swap on my 01 XJ on 32s. I do believe I had to find the matching reservoir at the junkyard. I also had to keep the stock XJ pump pressure line fitting, as well as drill out the hole to match the WJ fitting. There is a third hose attachment on the reservoir used for a PS cooler, I just capped it off. Makes turning much easier, it has a higher flow rate than the stock XJ pump.
