99 jeep Cherokee sport I’m parked with engine on, but it starts to sound as if it wants to shut off. Only happens when I’m parked for a long time

Alway clean all grounds, need good not fair continuity, then inspect wires for possible intermintent short (grounding thst causes incomplete circut) then check conection points/plugs for corrosion, burnt or misshaped pins. Especially at coil from crank posision sensor. Next check for arcing from plug wires/ coil wire from distributor. then If its getting steady spark you should be good to go, if not check fuel flow and presure , clean throttle body, check for air ubstructions and vacume leaks. Before swaping parts.

What about just one bare wire?? Had this issue, and found one bare wire, with the case cracking off by the starter.. could one by itself cause a short? I live in the 🏜️, there's not much moisture.. what about the fuel pump, it does have a long crank.. and didn't really start this until I ran out of gas one day and it just barely made it across the street to the station..

Mine has a short circuit around the OBD. I have to push the wires in really hard, it works for a couple hours and then dies again. More specifically, the key light turns on and starts and dies immediately. It doesn't always work so I can't trust my xj to drive it far in case it dies on me where I can't leave it far from home

I just sprayed my iacv wit brake parts cleaner while it was idlen fix it

I have the same issue still cannot get truck turned on now I have code 11 and 54 which is no reference signal to distributor.. I have replaced a lot of parts on it new distributor, fuel pump, crank sensor, throttle sensor, idle air valve, ignition coil, new spark plugs and wires can’t figure it out 1992 Cherokee 4.0liter

i changed my fuel pressure sensor and starter recently on my xj, but today i noticed when i start it, it would shut off if i take my foot off the gas, it could be my distributer, hopefully its not the fuel pump...

Mine shuts off while driving randomly just installed new spark plugs and the problem stopped for a couple days but I just had another random shut off 🙃.. going to buy a CPS and check out the alternator and battery as we speak.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee …has been giving me hell bro…I took to the dealer multiple times within one month, they said it was a starter and charged me 1000 bucks, 2nd time it was a bad wire and charged me another 1000 bucks and now they said it’s an exposed wire …I told them I just want my money back now and they’re refusing
