Later on, during gas tank installation, 19:15, The camera catches the auger mounts and it looks to me like that auger could have been unbolted. So why did you cut what you could have unbolted? or ground off the welds either one?

The fix for your bikini top puddling comes with completing your roll cage. Get a front hoop, a piece to replace the driver's side rear bar that's missing, and a pair of connecting tubes to go from the rear hoop to the front hoop. Put a slight bend in them to give you a bit more head room and the bikini top will then run off and down the windshield and off the sides.

I would like to see you do more videos on the Jeep. You could do a video on replacing and welding in the missing and rusted body panels, another on replacing or repairing the roll bar, another on the engine, ie header, low restriction exhaust/muffler. The late model Jeeps really aren't Jeeps any more, they are more like dressed up SUV's. You have a REAL Jeep!

As for the rods, I remember Kevin from Junkyard Digs did a video with an inline 6 jeep where it had worn bearings where he just swapped them and it ran a lot better without the knock and had much better oil pressure. Good luck with the building, it's sentimental because it's been with you for a while but it'll be an upgrade with the new one!

Always wanted a Jeep, and I almost bought one, thinking the little back seat would be ok for a car seat. Wife stepped in the way, she wasn't having it. She had a 66 Pontiac Catalina for a family car, so why was she complaining? She convinced me a Jeep wasn't practical at the time. This was in the 80s, I think it was a CJ5. It was about 2500 bucks. Making roughly 5 bucks an hour back then, but I had money saved, so it was do-able. I bought her a 1986 Cutlass supreme instead, with a V8 swap. Of course it was rodded! What else was I gonna buy? I had a 71 442 with 455v8 as well. Anywho, I vote YES for more Jeep content. And I am gonna check out your 2nd channel for Shop Build stuff. And of course, Jen in Pirate looking beard had me hooked at GO. Go Gus, Go! So cute.

Cinder block garage works great, sun heats the block in winter, about 5k btu for 8hrs a day in sub-zero weather will keep it about 40 degrees - only required for a couple months, otherwise solar radiance alone maintains 40 degrees. In summer. with insulated ceiling and attic exhaust fan, garage temp never exceeds 75 degrees.
